Williamson Ranch Park

My toddlers (2 & 4) love this park, however — it does not feel safe at any hour of the day or at any time of the year. Today was the last time I’ll bring my kids there. There are way too many sketchy random people walking thru… and cars (with no kids) driving in & out or parked. Just doesn’t feel SAFE.

It’s a nice looking park from a distance, but as you approach the grounds, you start to become cautious, which is a shame because there is ample grassy area to run around in. The play structures are a bit outdated because they are a mix of metal and plastic. Plastic slides, but old rusted metal chains on the bridge. Also, this is not the cleanest park. It’s not the dirtiest, but with all the sand in the play area, you’re bound to find a few «treasures» that really ought to stay buried. Or better yet, maybe they should have been placed in those neat little receptacles that we sometimes like to use for garbage?
Also, my least favorite thing about this park is that there is some tagging to be found on some places, yes, as in graffiti. Come on people, that was cool like, never. It’s a park, for kids to play in. Let’s keep it clean!
Another thing to note, the parking lot is small, so don’t expect to find a place to park when there are parties going on. You’ll be stuck parking on the street.
I’ve only been to this park for birthday parties that we’ve been invited to, but I have never, ever voluntarily brought my kids to this place on any other occasion. Such a shame, because it would have the potential to be such a nice park. Way to ruin a park, Antioch.
Oh, one star is for the size and space of the grass area, and the other star is for the general amenities this park offers. Also, there is a bathroom, though I’ve never stepped foot in it.

This park is very easy to find with plenty of parking. The grounds are very well kept, nothing is super overgrown or trashy. I often have group parties and picnics here and it is a wonderful park. There are plenty of places to have great picnics and also be able to keep an eye on your kids playing in the filed or on the playground.
