SOS Moving & Cleaning

I would not use this company again. I would rate them with (0) stars. We used them and had a box of electronic equipment missing after they left. We have spent over $ 800 replacing some of the missing items but are not finished yet. They are not bonded & have not made any effort as yet to compensate us for what their worker stole from us. Besides that our son also used them and had an i-​pad missing after they left. The police did get that back for them. We were surprised by our lose as the young men were very pleasant and personable.

I feel I’ve waited long enough to write this review. I gave S.O.S Moving and Cleaning one star because the movers are unprofessional, and waste your time then the office staff gives you false hope of resolving your issues when in reality, they won’t help you at all. No wonder they charge by the hour…
Here’s what happened…
I moved on July 31^st. I scheduled the 2 movers to be a my TINY ONE BEDROOM apartment at 4PM. They actually arrived closer to 4:30…so keep that in mind. I let them into the apartment and show them the boxes I have ready for them to move. They say ok and that they’re just gonna go grab the dollies real quick and come back. About 15 minutes go by and neither of them had come back. So I waited another 5 or so minutes and they FINALLY come strolling in. They grab the boxes and FINALLY start doing some work. I’m in the bedroom and after about 15 minutes I realize that I hadn’t heard anyone come back into the apartment for quite some time. So I get fed up and I walk outside to see where they are. And what do you know? There they were… just standing behind the truck chit-​chatting away. One of them even made a «joke» about me coming outside and finding them not working. He said «Uh-​oh! We’re busted…» then laughed. Well I’ll tell you what… I wasn’t laughing. So they finally go back inside and moved the rest of the boxes and furniture. All while dropping a few things here and there…
We finally made it to my destination around 6:30 with the truck and all my belongings. They move all the boxes into the front room of my house then put the bed together in my bedroom and finally put back together my daughters crib. They didn’t have to move anything else into any of the rooms. I did all that. But yet it still took them until 8pm to finish. All the while they weren’t even working the whole time. I can’t even tell you how many times I went looking for them cause they were nowhere to be found and when I did find them, they were either talking on their cell phone or just sitting there. Ok, I understand it’s prolly hot and you may need to take a water break or something but STAY OFF YOUR CELL PHONE while your at work!
Oh, so that’s not even the worse of it… they filled out the paperwork with the hours they were going to charge me for… they put down that they were there moving from 4:00PM to 8:00PM…when in reality they arrived at 4:30PM and prolly wasted a little over an hour of my time. I ended up calling S.O.S back after the movers left to tell them what transpired. I was given an apology and told that I would be refunded for the time the movers didn’t work. Now, that was back on July 31^st… I’ve called multiple times after that to inquire as to where my refund is and I always get the same answer «We are looking into it and will call you back soon.» But do I ever get a call back or even an update? Absolutely not. If I ever have to move again, rest assured I WILL NOT be calling this company. Their rates are fairly cheap for a reason… you get what you pay for… well on 2^nd thought you don’t…cause they don’t really do a lot of working. Just time wasting. Moving my small one bedroom apartment could have easily been completed in 2 to 2.5 hours… I know cause I moved my stuff into the apartment in the first place! I’m still not happy that my money wasn’t refunded. Pretty pissed actually but I’m tired of wasting my time and having to explain what happened every single time I call to the SAME girl who works in the office.
I’ll be sure to warn everyone NOT to use these people… go with someone else!
Oh, by the way, they do take credit cards but charge an extra fee on top to do so…
