Eat here. The menu isn’t large, but it is all delicious. They serve arepas, sandwiches made with corn flour and corn meal bread and wonderful fillings. They have an excellent selection of coffee offerings, plus soups and homemade pastries, including kumquat scones, guava tarts and much more.

Nice café with great food and drinks. The huevos rancheros and Cuban sandwich were excellent. There were plenty of other delicious things in the menu that I wanted to try. Check this place out, plenty of good food options whether your in the mood for a small pastry or full meal.

Great espresso beverages! We got a muffin that was good but was not covered in case or anything. I prefer my pastries fresh. But go there for coffee and one of the cake from the cake case!

Café con Leche handled our larger group with aplomb, despite not being equipped with a giant dining area, not that we expected that from a little town coffee shop. They have a standard coffee menu, cute décor, and fantastic food. Various South American choices present an interesting set of choices different from the normal brunch items you would expect. The coffee was solid and the Arepa I ordered was just great. After tasting some other menu items from others in the party I would be confident trying about anything they offer.

An adorable & charming coffee shop! And I haven’t had huevos rancheros this delicious since actually eating it in Mexico. Good stuff & great service too.

Selected by the catchy name. So glad we stopped. Arepa is great. Huevos Rancheros were terrific. Chai was delicious. A café well worth finding.

I’ve only been there a couple of times with friends. I’ve never ordered food from them before, but I’ve ordered some of the coffee drinks. The drinks(eg: Chai Latte) are amazing and the atmosphere is relaxing. Definitely worth it.

A go to place for South American Breakfast. It’s hard to pass up their breakfast arepa: a griddle-cooked corn cake split & filled with a fried egg, bacon, cheese, and a splash of herb infused salsa verde. There is a reason it comes nestled in a paper sleeve. Handle with care!!! After that arepa, if you have space, do try some of their awfully tempting fresh-baked mocha muffins and cinnamon crumb cake sitting in the pastry case.

Apalachiacola is not a metropolis of great coffee shops, and they possibly only have this one, but it was on par with some of the best I have had. It has the standard living room appearance, BUT it also has a great view of the waterway and the wharf. Yes, they have the long list of coffee drinks, but u had to try their standard whole bean coffee, so I could get a true feel for how serious they were about their java. The coffee was perfect; smooth, rich, and hot. The counter folks were friendly and were very helpful. They also had a large selection of cakes and pastries that were made in house. I gave the pound cake a whirl, and it was off the chain. I’ve been in town for 4 days, and I’ve been here twice already, and I’ll probably stop in a couple more times before I leave. Stop in, and have a drink.

This is probably the best coffee in appalachicola and st george island. I do have to note that my first time there, my coffee tasted really off and only a bit later when another customer had complained, did we realize it was bad milk. Otherwise, all my subsequent visits and coffees had been good. I am not going to say that it is the best coffee that I’ve ever had, but I will say that this is the place to get it whether you live here or are here on vacation. I pretty much drove out to Café Con Leche everyday during several visits to St George island and after also trying out all the other coffee places in town. The service was also always very amiable which is why I give this small café 4 stars.

If only there was one of these cafes in every town they would put Starbucks and Dunkin donuts out of business. The breakfast, lunches and baked goods are fresh and are made on location. My chai came out first and wowed me: creamy with a nice touch of cinnamon. Next was my ham, egg and cheese croissant with a spread. Last was the tart that I could only take a bite of since I was stuffed. The locals truly are lucky to have a place like this in town. My total bill was $ 13 and with the free wifi I was able to hang around a bit. There are other eclectic goodies for sale from hats to artwork. I found a piece of art that I couldn’t stop staring at, that is until I looked at the price tag. I think I’ll skip on buying that special treat!

After an unpleasant stay at the local Best Western, we opted to skip their promised ‘full breakfast’ that was sadly barely adequate and to forge out on our own. There is not much in Apalachicola for breakfast, but we lucked out when we found the Café Con Leche. What a wonderful little spot overlooking the harbor. It is not fancy but it is interesting, arty, and the food more than adequate. The owner has eclectic tastes and provides plenty to look at while you enjoy the coffee or pastry or have one of their delicious breakfasts. This was one of our favorite spots on a two week road trip. Go. You won’t be disappointed.

Really great place to eat. Their coffee is very good– my knowledgable barista wife gave their real macchiato a stamp of approval. I had an ‘arepa’, which was a very tasty sandwich of Venezuelan origin– I recommend it. We also sampled some of the pastries and found them worthy of praise. The atmosphere is very pleasant. Tamara(owner?) and Samantha are both friendly and inviting. Café con leche only loses a star for tourist-town prices. Given that their main competition downtown has even higher prices, that means that Café Con Leche is your best bet for breakfast in Apilachicola.
