The service is so slow that I actually aged a year waiting. Over an hour to have our food served is unacceptable. I am not one to generally complain because I understand how difficult food service can be but this is beyond ridiculous. This place needs to reexamine their kitchen service. Don’t waste your time or money here.

I should have read a few reviews prior to going and wasting money. After waiting for 10 minutes to be seated seeing most tables were empty we waiting another 30 to be told that we were not noticed and soooo sorry Most items were not available with the server returning to explain the substitute was also not available Don’t waste your money

The best thing at our table was the tomato gravy and the biscuits. The view is absolutely gorgeous!

Went here on New Years Day. Waited about 30 minutes before we decided to leave. Two servers were running around trying to do their jobs, but no one had food or drinks. At least four groups of people left while we were waiting before we decided to give up. We have enjoyed many breakfasts here, but they really messed up this day. If no one would work, they shouldn’t have been open.

What were we thinking on New Year’s Day??? Maybe that there were no other places open. The theme of this place is WAIT. To be seated, for drinks, for cold food, for a jacked up receipt and for getting it fixed

We come here every time we are in town. They have the best breakfast. I always get the crab cake Benedict and have never been disappointed. If you love sea food in a laid back atmosphere, come here. Added bonus: they are dog friendly!!!

Another awesome restaurant in Apalachicola. The blue crab and corn bisque is delish. We also had Panhandle Grouper and Stuffed Scallops! Out of this world!

I have to agree with the other reviews, the atmosphere leaves something to be desired… But the food makes up for it. I don’t know that I would go here if the place was busy, as they did seem under staffed but our waitress was friendly and the food was great. The feta salad dressing is delicious.

I’m writing this review as my meal progresses… 1. The view is great and the restaurant is beautiful and elegant. 2. The waitress greeted us with a t-shirt and yoga pants on. She didn’t match the elegance of the restaurant. 3. No background music which means we could hear all the conversations around us as well as everything going on in the kitchen. The servers sounded like they were having a 12 year old girl sleep over with all the laughing and banging on the walls. Extremely unprofessional. 4. We ordered 1 dozen raw oysters. They were great. 5. The salads came out after we finished the oysters. Very good salad. My wife recommends the Greek/feta dressing. 6. Pan– Roasted grouper is excellent. 7. Garlic Mashed Potatoes are good. Overall the food is excellent. Decent beer selection(no draft). If the experience wasn’t so awkward I would frequent here often.

Stumbled upon this place by mistake for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. I got the grouper Ruben and it was one of the best I have ever had. The waitress wasn’t great and didn’t really check on us at all. When 3 kids and two adults all agree the food is great that’s rare!

Food and atmosphere are excellent! Service… not so much. Kinda ruined the whole experience. Not a fan of spending 2 hours at lunch while traveling.

This place is right on the Apalachicola River. The décor leaves a bit to be desired, but the view is breathtaking. Lots of boat traffic and the occasional sea otter to keep your interest. Food has to be REALLYGOOD or I have to be REALLYHUNGRY for me to take a snap right in the middle of eating it. These Apalachicola Bay oysters were PERFECT. Like little bites of ocean. Perfect sized and shucked to perfection… No ripping & tearing to get at them. Homemade salad dressings(Bleu cheese & thousand island) were terrific! I had Grouper Therapy with the panhandle grouper. It was stuffed with blue crab and had a sherry cream sauce. Wow! Make your tongue slap your brains out! And the garlic mashed potatoes were exceptional. Wife had blue crab & corn bisque. SPECTACULAR! Fresh and succulent and not a shell piece to be found. And the applewood bacon wrapped oysters were heavenly. If you’re in this area from Mexico Beach to St George Island you need to try this spot!

Superb food, pricey but worth it. Wait staff sweet but not refined. Appetizers delivered at the same time as entrée but then it was 5 minutes to close… but then again the bill with two appetizers, two entrees, two glasses of wine and two gumbos«to go» was $ 127.00 before tip.

This is my first negative review. The food was decent but the service was absolutely terrible. Our waitress complained to us about having 5 children at home and said she was too tired to bring us anything including water. She then started belittling us when we asked for basic service such as cocktail sauce with our shrimp. The indoor view was beautiful, but hard to enjoy over the clearly audible cussing and yelling coming from the kitchen. Don’t waste a night of your vacation here!

Service is not the best our party waited for some time. We sat outside on the deck over looking the river. I had a oyster po boy it was tasty. The sweet teat was the best. I had one trip. I think it’s kinda pricey. And they need to start spending some money into the restaurant. It’s starting to look run down.

I enjoyed my service here. There weren’t many customers considering the time of day. I did have to wait a while for the hostess, but only bc she was in the kitchen. I got to sit wherever I wanted. I chose a view of the water. The music and landscape were peaceful. The coffee is awesome. The French toast was even better. They use real French bread and give huge slices. I will definitely eat here again. I’m assuming the full menu is available all day bc I ate breakfast around 11:30/noon. Decent prices considering the entire ambiance.

While I had breakfast, there were 3 tables occupied and 3 waitresses. This was the worst service I have ever experienced anywhere I have ever dined in my entire life. The waitresses spent 90% of their time in the kitchen socializing with each other and the cooks. I will not return
