Best place in the area to buy liquor. Oh wait, it is the only place in the area to buy liquor!
This ABC is in a good location, inventory is good, staff is nice. I’d give it 5 stars but they have no competition unless you get some shine from a friend, so, 4 stars it is. I get the Red Stag, then I drink it and leave reviews on Unilocal!:)

HOORAY! There is an ABC Store in Holly Springs, about 1.5 miles from where I live! It is SCORES above the store in Apex, IMO. So why did I drive all the way to Apex? At best I can say that when one is new to an area, one makes many mistakes!

Its a liquor store, government owned, and has no competition, so the prices are a bit high. But short of driving to another state or having visiting friends and family do your liquor shopping for you, what ya gonna do.

Yes, you can buy liquor at any ABC store, but this one stands out because of the people. It’s not just that they’re nice (they definitely are) but they actually know their stuff and will happily make recommendations as well. Not just steer you toward something expensive or brush off your questions.
For instance, it’s rare to visit an ABC store where someone there will know why Don Q is a much better buy than Bacardi or which 100% agave tequila is the best priced for its quality. Things like that. The people here are knowledgeable and friendly. If you’re going to pay the same price wherever you go, you might as well go to a place with the nicest people… at least, that’s what I’ve always thought.

Girls night kicked off with a stop here – my first introduction to Lunazul Reposado. I (ahem, I mean we) thoroughly enjoyed that bottle. It’s a smooth tequila that still packs a powerful punch. Good times ;)
