I have been a patient of Dr. Beavers for about 15 years. This is as good as it gets in the dental industry. The entire staff(from the receptionists, hygienists to doctors) are all very friendly and show genuine concern and care for their patients. I have recommended this dental practice to many family members and friends. They all think this dental practice is top notch!

I have been going to Beaver’s Family Dentistry since I moved here, two years ago! The staff is very friendly and the facility is nice. I see Dr. Jonathon and I have no complaints. I have only had my teeth cleaned and x-rays. No major problems.

I went to Dr. Beavers every 6 months for 12 years(except for once when I let a year go between cleanings) and faithfully flossed, brushed, and used listerine in an effort to keep my teeth in good health. However, it was not enough to keep my teeth from severe harm. I had experienced significant pain and sensitivity for several years that got progressively worse to the point where I could not drink cold liquids and could not chew with the left side of my mouth. Every time I went in I asked whether there was anything they could do, anything at all, and they always told me to just use sensodyne toothpaste. They also told me the reason my gums had receded to the point where the roots of my teeth were showing was because I was brushing too hard. I swore to them that I was brushing gently with a soft bristle brush but they didn’t believe it. They just continued to take x-rays, give me routine cleanings, and ignore my concerns about my teeth. When my husband and I were planning our first baby, I went to Dr. Beavers to get my teeth cleaned because I knew periodontal disease can have devastating effects on a pregnancy and I wanted to prevent it. In the middle of my pregnacy, I went back again and to my surprise he wanted to give me TWELVECROWNS! Why? He showed me a series of x-rays he had taken of my teeth over the years that showed how my enamel had been slowly erroding away to the point where it was now literally GONE on most of my teeth. I literally had NO enamel on some of my teeth it was that bad. Apparently I had been grinding my teeth in my sleep for years and he knew it but never told me or made any effort at all to stop it while there was still a chance! This was why I spent years in so much pain! And now, at the age of 22, he wanted to grind my teeth down to stumps and put crows on them at a cost of $ 1,500 per tooth that will have to be replaced every 10 years! I went to two different dentists for second opinions and they both said that crowns were an extreme, last-resort measure for my teeth and that any good dentist would try other solutions first to try and preserve my teeth because putting on crowns is irreversable. They were also both appalled at the lack of treatment Dr. Beavers gave and said they both had many of his former patients who came to them after having similar experiences. I also learned from my new dentist that the reason my gums had erroded and one of my teeth was loose is that I had severe periodontal disease from lack of proper care from Dr. Beavers and that he should have treated it instead of continuing to do routine cleanings because without the special treatment, the gums cannot heal and the disease will never get better. There was no mention ATALL of gum disease on my last appointment with Dr. Beavers even though I had it at the time! How awful! And remember how I said that periodontal disease can cause severe problems during pregnancy, such as having a baby up to 8 week premature? Well guess what, my baby was born 8 weeks early and a NICU nurse told me it was almost certainly because of the terrible shape of my teeth because the only reason she’s seen babies born so early is because of gum disease and age, and at 22 age was clearly not the reason. She was born at just 3 lbs. 2 oz. and thank God she is okay now because it’s too awful to think that had she died, the primary reason could have been Dr. Beavers. I am currently planning a second pregnancy and my new dentist is doing all the things Dr. Beavers SHOULD have done, which is removed the dead and diseased gum tissue, have me come in for routine cleanings every 3 months instead of 6, given me treatments for my tooth sensitivity, and above all LISTEN to my concerns rather than ignore them!

I do not mind going to the Dentist. I have always had good teeth. I am one of the lucky ones I guess. I made an appointment with Dr. Mark for a cleaning. Before we got into the chair he took me to his office and asked me a few questions. We chatted for 15 to 20 minutes and then we went to the chair. He introduced me to a few ladies that would be assisting him. I have to say after being there for 45 minutes, he told me more about my teeth in 15 minutes than other Dentists did in 15 years. Painless procedure in cleaning my teeth. Yes, they all wonder about them. My teeth just do not decay. But back to the visit. Excellent in every way and I was surprised in new technology they have. Top shelf Dentist, I would not hesitate in recommending him to anyone. The staff is great and accommodating.
