If there is anyone out there in Apex, Garner, Clayton, Raleigh or the surrounding areas who is planning on building a custom home, do not hire Stanton Homes! We mistakenly hired them to build our dream home and they failed in every way possible. They initially installed a new septic field which failed the final inspection and the entire field had to be redone and the owner promised to pay for all of it, but he just tacked on the cost to each of our other allotted items where there was an allowance, costing us tens of thousands extra! The owner also refused to correct a major drainage problem from the street that causes flooding every time it rains. The owner is a very professional smooth talker who lies about many things. He hires the cheapest and least experienced contractors. We just do not have that overall comfortable feeling that we all hope for after buying a new custom home. The owner is very much like the ‘man behind the curtain’ and he is not trustworthy. After you sign their contract they will all ignore you. Their staff consists of the owners relatives who can do no wrong. The gatekeeper is his own mother who is very rude and nasty. They will rarely answer the phone and they ignore emails. Stay far away!
