A Readiness Learning Academy

I don’t usually rant about a bad experience on social media. If I have a bad meal or bad service it’s reflected in the tip and if it’s really bad I just don’t go back. It’s different when my daughter is involved. A few weeks ago I contacted A Readiness Learning Academy in Apollo Beach and enrolled my 3 year old, Ashley. They reserved a spot for her and to my surprise said we could do all the paperwork when we drop her off for the first time. The representative said they wouldn’t have a spot until March 4^th and we agreed she would start then. Today, March 4^th we took her to the school for her first day. The administrator said they had no record of her starting today and didn’t have space to take her. I explained we had reserved her spot and she has been anxiously waiting for this day. She didn’t seem to care even when the tears started rolling down Ashley’s face. The women said she would be happy to put her on their waiting list if we wanted. I told her that I understand mistakes happen but I’m really not sure I feel comfortable entrusting the welfare of my daughter to her after this situation.
Now I know mistakes happen but the uncaring, could care less attitude of this women is what really got me. I felt like I was interacting with a state bureaucrat. In my opinion she really needs to find a new career path. I’m not sure if she was having a bad day or just really doesn’t care but she acted like the whole situation was my fault and really wasn’t her problem. No accountability at what so ever. If that is what their teaching, we’re not interested.
