Pretty park with plenty of shade and good for all ages! The soccer fields are very well kept. Nice area for all types of activities.

Nice hidden gem in Apopka. Lived in the here for 5 years and just learned about it. Nice running pathway around the lake(0.9 miles). We used to drive to the west orange trail or Crane’s roost park to run. This isn’t nearly as crowded an way more scenic

My review is about the baseball area only. Nice fields and parking but there is absolutely no shade out here so bring your pop up tents or you’ll roast in the summer. Bathrooms and concessions are a hike. Other than that no complaints.

This place is enormous! Seriously, it feels like a city within the city of Apopka, the baseball and soccer fields seem endless. Our son plays soccer here on weekends, so we have spent several months this year heading out to the complex. The fields are all kept in immaculate condition. We were trying to spot weeds and just gave up. The baseball fields are all kept in great condition as well. They also host yearly Outdoor festivals here, and have a large amphitheater which could be an amazing opportunity for Apopka to host concerts and other events at some point. The parking here would be the only issue, as you can imagine with a complex this large, there will be many cars trying to get in and out of only one exit. Overall though, this is a great asset to the city of Apopka.

What a great, safe park for runners! Tired of ducking through the bottleneck of people and dogs that Cranes Roost has become, a friend suggested the 0.9 mile loop around the amphitheater lake here. I did a 13 mile test run on Sunday. Outside of being a little exposed to the wind and having to go off trail slightly to refill on water, this is a great running spot. Loop around the amphitheater and up toward the parking lot, and you can get an even one mile loop with some nice little hills. There are a few lights for around sunset. There are enough people here to feel visible and safe without having to say«to your left» every 15 seconds.

This rec area located in Apopka is massive. Nothing short of having every available sport field imaginable! Soccer fields, flag foodball fields, baseball, basketball, volleyball, running tracks, and tennis courts! There is a nice lake you can run around that is roughly .9 miles for those keeping track of how many miles they run! Around the lakes are plenty of lighting and pavillions with restroom facilities. I’ve yet to utilize this area to it’s fullest potential as I only come here for soccer. I will say that for those who are wanting to rent a field it will lean more towards the pricier side but than again we are paying for usage of lights! If you have 5 or less individuals wanting to kick the ball around there is no charge to use the fields as long as you’re not hindering another patron who has it reserved. If you have more than 5 the fields will be charged a standard price. Tennis, volleyball, and basketball courts are usually free of charge. They also have a ampitheater where they have concerts and festivals all year round. The carnivals take place here as well as food festivals and car shows! It’s always nice to see such a well maintained park that offers so much! What’s really keeping me from giving this place a perfect 5 is the staff. Staff is either hit or miss on any given night. The facilties close at 9pm and yet there have been times where we have fully paid for a lit field and we have been forced to leave at 830 solely for the reason of closing. I’ve made complaints stating we had an additional 30 mins but they’ve fallen on deaf ears. Sad really that they would not give us the full amount of time we paid for just so they can all leave BY9 and not close AT9.

This is a large, new recreation area in northwest Apopka. The massive, expansive park has multiple baseball, football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, and tennis facilities. There are pavilions and seating areas at many of the fields as well as lighting. The fields that are in use are kept up very nicely. Currently my son and I use the playground tucked into the corner by the schools. The playground has a little kid and big kid play area, swings and even a rock climbing wall. It is nice because there are trees for shade and a few benches and pavilions. The city of Apopka takes advantage of the area for several festivals, special events and shows throughout the year. Last year they had a carnival complete with rides, midway games, car show and food vendors followed by a great(for small town Apopka) fireworks display. I hope budget cuts don’t affect this one! One thing I really wish they had were swim facilities or maybe a fitness center.
