I found a very long piece of hair in my food. The people weren’t friendly at all, and there were fries all over the ground. The food was pretty good, but I prefer the Fice Guys burgers. I started to feel sick after about half of my burger. There was a worker literally sleeping at a table and I wasn’t happy with how long it took to get my shake.

Our go-to place for burgers. Well, it used to be. There are plenty of burger places in the area; it seems to be pretty trendy. Smash fresh-grills burgers off an exciting menu of options, which also includes malts and their crowning jewel: Smash Fries. You can even get the«Smash» seasoning on sweet potato fries, which I highly recommend. The other place where Smash Burger score(d) points with us was by way of offering gluten-free options. When you’re like me, and wheat is a no-no in your diet, it sure is nice to eat a burger with your family like a «normal person.» But, our most recent visit will likely be our last. I ordered online in order to beat the lines. My wife was going to grab dinner on the way home from her office, so I ordered around 5:00 and selected pickup for 6:00. When she arrived just after 6:00, she was informed they were just getting starred on the order. Why? Well, according to the crew at SB, they aren’t even informed about online orders until 5 minutes before they are due! So, she’d have to wait. Remember, the point of ordering online was to AVOID waiting. At about 6:22, they finally handed her our order. Mind you, other customers had arrived after her in line, ordered, and departed with their meals in the time she sat waiting.* Conclusion: Ordering SmashBurger online is by no means a way to save yourself some time. When we got to the dinner table that evening, one of the four items was correct. That’s right, 75% failure rate. I had ordered the aforementioned Smash sweet potato fries; Smash fries for her. Neither order was prepared that way. Bummer, because we were looking forward to that. But, worse, my burger didn’t quite seem right. We studied it for a moment and determined that they did NOT use the Udi’s gluten-free bun as I had ordered. Remember, this isn’t a «taste» thing… eating a regular wheat bun will make me terribly sick! Not funny, guys. In conclusion, spending a bunch of money on the train-wreck that was our most recent order has put Smash Burger out of our favorites list and into«never again» status. Shame, really. *By the way, the manager knew they’d messed up and that my wife was frustrated. Right here is where he had the opportunity to try to make things right, or at least a little better. Nope. I think that’s what frustrates us most. Mistakes happen; I totally get that. How you handle them is what makes a manager a manager. Nothing. So, message received.

This place seemed pretty nice, it was clean and the staff was kind. You place and order, get a number to put on your table, then they bring the order out to you. I got a Spicy Jalepeno Baja Smash Chicken sandwich. I thought it was pretty good, the gauc was a nice touch on it. I thought the fries were good too. Pretty good food as far as a fast food type places go. I suppose they are calling places like this ‘fast casual’ now though.

I really wanted to like this place due to the fact they are one of a few places that serves black bean burgers in my area. I have been there twice now and I have not been impressed. During my first visit the kitchen was backed up. I understand it happens. I expect that if I have to wait for 35 min that my order is correct and it was not Now on my second visit I wanted to order online so o would have to wait but the website said they weren’t taking orders. So I called and was tools I had to come in to place an order. So went in and placed my order, while waiting I decided that I wanted large fries instead of reg. I paid the difference and went back to waiting. The young man who took my order went over to the girl at the window to let her know about the change. She never communicated with the kitchen so the made me reg fries instead. So when another young man brought me my food I explained to him what I did so saps something to the girl a she yells«well she’s Goin to have to wait» in a snarkey tone. The young man tell the kitchen he need large fries. The guy in the kitchen looked confused and said I thought they were regular the girl snaps back yeah well she changed it. With a look of frustration he proceeds to make my fries. I in no way had a problem worth waiting I made a change to the order I understand. What I don’t like is the attitude of this young lady. They still got the order wrong in the end and the fries were under cooked, it wasn’t because they had to make a new order because I only ended up with one large overly salted fry when I had ordered 2 The other issue is the quality of the food. You can give black bean burger flavor with our putting a pound of salt on it but apparently smash burger doesn’t know that. Not sure I can give them another chance don’t want to waste my money.

Decent menu includes gluten free options. Take out or dine in & they are usually pretty fast unless you order shakes it takes a little longer. This is one place I go to for a fast meal on nights I don’t feel like cooking.

It was my first time at a smashburger. This particular location is new, clean and spacious. The menu was easy and i went for a classic Smashburger. I also ordered some chickenstrips from the kids menu for my little one. The restaurant was quite busy and there was a wait of 10 minutes. Which was fine. The only downer were the baskets with the condiments. They were greasy and were missing quite a few things. So I had to just rearrange and put one together with all the condiments i needed.

The food here is freshly made and the menu is rather extensive for a burger joint. The smashfries are delicious, a nice change from the same plain fries you can get everywhere else. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be coming back.

I think Smash burger is ok. Not amazing. I personally think its a little pricey for what it is. I have also found that everytime I’ve come to the apple valley location the cashier seems very confused. I also do like that the print on the menu board is so TINY. I can never read it.

I’m a bit bummed. This place is steadily slipping into a place where management isn’t doing its job or doesn’t care anymore. I find everyone is really nice and the food is still good. However I am totally bothered by tables that aren’t cleared, especially when it’s slow. I watched the gal delivering food walk by a table with garbage on it no less than five(5) times. As I am now spooling up, what also pisses me off is when tables aren’t wiped off after they are cleared. This isn’t a f**king picnic canopy and I shouldn’t ask for a towel to wipe down my own table! I’ll also mention the Dr. Pepper fountain, which was out when we arrived, took 30 mins to fill after my kid told the gal up front about it. I repeat, it was slow. Yes, this is self centered, but pop(Dr Pepper) is a treat for my kid. Btw, that trash was still on the table as we walked out about 45 mins later. Ok, deep breath. Ridiculous to get upset about a mostly fast food place that I guarantee will lose or is losing market share in Apple Valley. Next time, Five Guys!

Burgers were OK. I’ve had better burgers at Five Guys/Red Robin. The Smashfries that came with the burger were too salty. WTF!?! I hate it when fries come out all salty. It completely destroys the burger eating experience! I did, however, get a new batch of fries made but I was already upset at the original batch. What upset me even more was the guy who did my original batch of fries blurted out loud, «What? The fries were salty?» when he got the message that the fries were sent back for being too salty… When I heard that, I was livid. Crappy attitude is unacceptable.

Super bummed! I was expecting so much more, and got nothing even close. The burger itself looked great, nice portions. But, the most important thing is flavor and it was just not there. Got the Baja and even with the toppings the beef itself is plain. They say they use quality Angus beef, but I’ll beg to differ. The fries are nothing special, just fries. The staff was nice, but I don’t think I will be stopping in again.

Honestly, I was a little underwhelmed. I ordered a regular size BBQ Bacon and Cheddar, while the fiancé ordered a Big size Classic. He got the Smashfries while I ordered regular, and we both shared an Oreo Shake. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The fiancé’s burger looked really nice and juicy, whereas my smaller patty was fairly dry. Perhaps that dryness was amplified by the fact that there was no BBQ on my burger. Ugh. I thought I maybe got BBQ sauce in one bite, but I eventually gave up and grabbed the ketchup and mustard since I really needed some flavor and moisture on the burger. If we go back, I think I’ll have to order the Big size in order to get a juicier patty, and perhaps ask for extra, extra, extra BBQ. I will say that I thought the bun was fabulous– very soft with a mild flavor and a decent bread to meat ratio. The fries were alright. I liked that they were crispy, but since they are shoestrings they cool down very quickly. The fiancé’s Smashfries weren’t all that different from my own, save for a hint of rosemary. I’d like to try the sweet potato fries next time. The shake was another underwhelming item. I’m familiar with hand-spun shakes, so I know they’re a bit less creamy than something you’d get at DQ. The chunks of Oreo weren’t broken up very small and thus were impossible to suck through a straw, so I had to spoon eat most of my shake, which just kind of turned into soggy Oreo soup after a bit. Maybe I should have stuck with a classic Chocolate or Vanilla?

Great burgers! Reminds me of shake shack on the east coast. Tried the twin cities burger and some smash fries. Smash fries are sprinkled with various seasonings and are fresh take on a burger side. Staff was also great.

We were really excited to try Smashburger, it’s exciting having all these new places opening up around the Apple Valley area!!! All in all it was a very pleasant experience. The atmosphere and décor is really nice, but I love the color red so I may be a little bias. Ordering was a breeze, I am not usually someone who likes the«fast food» style ordering at the counter, but this wasn’t to bad. When you walk in the front door, you grab a menu and they make it easy but not having a million and one things to choose from. I had the avocado club burger and hubby had the bbq burger with the onion tangles on it. Hubby opted for the regular french fries while I chose to live it up and try the smash fries. We filled up our drinks at the soda fountain and sat down. within minutes we had our burgers and fries in front of us and ready to go. way fast! Food was great, I totally recommend the smash fries for a change! They were really good, just enough rosemary for the perfect touch. he only complaint I have is that the food wasn’t really hot, but with the weather the way it is, and the people in and out of the building I am sure that was a big part of it. It would totally not deter me from coming back. I would love to try one of their shakes. mmmmmmmm haagen daz ice cream!

I don’t care what anyone says, SmashBurger is the shiz. I had my first experience years ago in Denver and have loved it ever since. Now that they’re popping up in the metro I’m even more in love. Try the Twin Cities burger with sweet potato fries. I also really love their veggie fries and pretty much all of the chicken sandwiches. There is really something for everyone. Please take note that these burgers are not healthy. These are straight-up naughty burgers that leave a grease/sauce mixture running down your face if you’re not careful. So, please be careful and then spend an extra hour on the treadmill afterward. Those are really all of the tips I have to thoroughly enjoy SmashBurger. And, if I was single, I would also take notice of the fact that there are a lot of good looking men in business suits hanging around over lunch time. I’m not single(lucky for those guys) so I didn’t really notice. Just sayin.

I was so excited to have a Smashburger built in Apple Valley. I have only been to the one in Eagan a couple times. My friend who is no longer my friend anymore used to live off Yankee Doodle and we would go there. We aren’t friends anymore because she accused me of trying to sabotage her career as a dental hygenist. But that’s another story. I came to the Apple Valley location for the first time on Sunday. I went with a friend. We both ordered the Twin Cities Smash, I think that’s what it’s called? And I told the lady at the register, «No tomatoes, please.» I was very surprised to find out that french fries are an additional fee. This is very bothersome. It should come as a side with the burger. I guess they want to nickel and dime everything? Whatever. I placed an order for fries and a fountain drink. $ 10.57 was my total. I think the highlight of the Twin Cities Smashburger was the grilled onions and cheese and maybe some type of sauce? I can’t recall. My friend took two bites of his burger and was disgusted. I was still enjoying my fries. The fries were great. They reminded of shoe string potato stix. After I removed the tomatoes I specifically told them not to include, I took my first bite of the Twin Cities and wanted to spit it out. This burger was a grease fest. So oily, greasy, and slimy. Yikes! I had to remove all the cheese and onions to eat the burger. I probably wouldn’t have finished it, but I had a terrible headache and needed to eat something. I didn’t want to take it back to the counter. I’ll just Unilocal about it later I told myself. Very downhearted with the burger, I still told myself I would give this location another shot. I now know to never ever order the Twin Cities Smash ever again. I now know to let all my friends and coworkers know not to order that either. I took the survey on the receipt for a free side of fries next time I come in. My friend told me to take his receipt and do his survey for another free side of fries. He told me to rate them bad, lol. I did both surveys and got the same four digit code for both surveys. How lame is that? For those of you who go there and don’t feel like taking their survey for free french fries for next time, the code is 9341. And there you have free french fries to go along with your not Twin Cities Smash.

The service is good the workers are nice! But I under stand that it’s a new restaurant is new so they would be playing loud music but if the could clean up the mess people make. I almost slipped because my shoes have gunk from the restaurant on them. ANDITSNOTTHEICEONTHESIDEWALK. The workers are just standing around but some of the workers come to the tables a put a smile on your face. Now for the food… The food is delicious also the pop. I take it back the workers are not slackers they do a great job of cleaning and yelling for food! Good bye McDonalds and Chick-Fil-A Here’s a new business!
