The Bakery Dept rocks! My birthday was last week, and my hubby knew I am on Atkins diet and couldn’t have a piece of regualr birthday cake. He approached the bakery dept, and they told him they would make a «meat cake» for my birthday. Yes I said meat cake! Hubby bought some liverwurst and mortadella, and brought it over to the bakery. The ladies tinted the liverwurst to look just like chocolate frosting, and built an amazing meat birthday cake! Thank you so much for helping my hubby do something so thoughtful for my birthday. As soon as I can figure out how to post photos of the cake I will do so.

Omg I was searching for baby back ribs for my father in laws birthday barbeque and no other store had them except stater bros. I normally avoid this store because the crowds but I can see why they have the long libs and the crowds. A little girl puked and the store manager herself went to clean it instead of calling a bagger to do it. That’s a true customer service person right there.

This store has a good selection of items. Produce is well stocked and fresh. The meat service dept looked good as well. I came to this store while visiting a friend and needed some deli items. A very good variety. The bakery had some nicely decorated cupcakes and such, ready to go. Service was good and site is clean. Oh yes, and banking inside too.

This Stater Bros has dolmas(Greek stuffed grape leaves) at their deli counter and they’re actually pretty good! I think the girl told me they have them delivered fresh everyday so not made by them, but rather, subcontracted it out, I guess. Might be the only place around HD to get dolmas so very glad it’s here. Also available at deli counter, tamales, imitation crab cakes, zucchini cakes, etc. At the meat counter/butcher in the back, you can get maple bacon, good and thick and yummy and sometimes, large oversized scallops, etc. The butchers are nice and patient, because sometimes you can get indecisive looking at different choices. Prime rib or New York? Pre-marinated fajitas and Asian Kalbi style ribs? Lobster tail? Hmm… Some Asian items as well, like in the international isle, you can get shrimp chips($ 2.79) japanese crackers, ghim seaweed laver($ 4.99), rice, and other assortment of japanese, thai, indian, chinese items. And in produce section, tofu, packaged udon noodles, moo the thinner daikon radish root, nappa cabbage, vietnamese spring roll paper. And in pharmacy section, asian pharmacist, lol. Price depends… some items are more expensive and some are cheaper than WinCo’s, it all depends on their weekly specials, so you get used to going to both places, one right after another. But they do have Arrogant Bastard Ale here, not sure if WinCo, does, never checked. I like the atmosphere here better, especially after 8pm when good looking college kids are getting beer and young upwardly mobile professionals are shopping, where as during daytime, it’s all senior citizens and weight challenged people. But like any supermarket everywhere that I’ve been in this great nation of ours, the cashiers tend to be single mothers in their late 40’s or early 50’s, sallow narrow faced, as if life gave them a bad deal and they don’t acknowledge you and just scan the items. Whereas the grocery baggers are young and very green and friendly and actually smile, while saying things like would you like paper or plastic, thank you and have a nice day. This is your local grocery super market…

This is the first grocery store I went to when moving here. The only thing they really have going for them is the descent prices on fruit and veggies and managers specials on end of the day bakery items. These are still overpriced though and not all that. Lines are always too long at checkout at any of their locations, service is descent. In a pinch I’ll come here but the selection at bigger stores like WinCo is just better, also the prices on freezer and pantry items are just too high.

decent selection, friendly staff, fair prices. Lacks a bit in the fresh seafood department as far as selection and the meat counter staff could use a little customer service refresher.

Since the grocery store in my area closed down, I have to drive a bit further but I absolutely love this store. It’s clean and I’ve seen the cashiers get items that the customers in line forgot. The parking lot can be a bit difficult to navigate when it’s busy but that’s not a big deal.
