I and my companion ordered the prime rib on a Sat. night. The place was almost empty at the height of the dinner hour. His prime rib was fine. Mine was terrible. It tasted livery and was tough. It was ordered medium rare but came almost raw. They brought another piece which was way overdone which I sent back. I asked to be charged for the sides I ate instead of the whole meal. This displeased the manager who had come to argue with me about the state of my piece of prime rib. He was thoroughly disagreeable. I even apologized stating I didn’t mean to cause him any trouble and he was a total a$$. He never apologized for the lousy meal and acted like I was the worst customer he ever had, even tho I was pleasant and told him I was sorry for the way things turned out. Our waitress was very nice and as accommodating as could be under the circumstances. The Manager/owner needs to take a class in customer service. He did write off part of the bill but was really angry about it. I will not be going back anytime soon. Too bad, because this used to be a nice place to eat with decent food.

There is a birthday special here where the person whose birthday it is gets a free entrée from a selected list, so I’ve been here a few times. Warning: This place is not vegetarian friendly. There are not really any good vegetarian options for entrees(all meat or fish), so I have stuck to ordering sides the few times I’ve dined here. The sides were just fine, but nothing special. They did their job and filled me up, so it pretty much filled in a blank. My dining companions were pretty pleased with their meal entrees and planned to return, so maybe this just wasn’t the place for me(but could be for others). If it’s someone’s birthday who wants to eat here, then I won’t whine about returning. Otherwise, there are plenty of other vegetarian-friendly restaurants in the Fox Valley.

Met up here with friends for drinks and karaōke. It was a good time, but I could not for the life of me figure out the system the guy running karaōke was using to put people on the list and the order they sang in. Drinks were mixed well and at the right price. Except one of my biggest peeves is when, during the course of an evening, I get charged 2 different prices from the 2 different bartenders, especially when I am paying cash and come up prepared to pay one price and they charge me more. It just doesn’t make sense to me…
