The only reason this review is getting one star is because there are no stars and you have to give them at least one. I rented the trailer yesterday to move my stuff from one place to another about 7 miles apart,. The first load seemed to go OK. but on the way back, the trailer came on unhooked from my truck and slammed into my truck knocking both of us to the side of the road. After calling u Haul and getting someone to come out and actually re-hooking the trailer I went about my way, an hour behind schedule, mad but determined to finish what I started. I had school that day so this incident put me behind schedule. After school, we went for second load and the trailer again came un– hooked, only this time it was loaded and it went across two lanes of traffic before almost hitting another car and then stopping in the middle of the road. I have had nothing but trouble with U Haul to try and get them to come and get this trailer and to give me a replacement truck so I can finish my move. I will never ever do this again there has got to be someone out there that’s a lot better, don’t waste your time, don’t waste your money, don’t waste your energy.

OMG! Please do not rent a Uhaul from this location! I had the worst experience, back in June. Long story short, when I went back to pick up my auto tow, no men were onsite to assist with assembly. Good thing my dad was with me to help. Carol was very sweet, but overworked. In addition to trying to assist me with the assembly, she was also the only person in the storefront. During assembly, my dad noticed that the lighting wire(from the auto tow to the truck) was severely damaged. You could actually see the wires! Initially, we all thought that this was the reason why the brake lights/turning lights would not work on the auto tow. We eventually found another wire, but still no working lights. Carol called a nearby Uhaul for assistance; when we arrived there, we learned that a fuse had blown and repair work was done onsite. It took 2 hours for me to pick up the auto tow and get it working. Totally delaying my departure time. Carol was nice enough to get a $ 50 credit approved. Fast forward two weeks. My credit had not been applied, so I called back. Some idiot answered the phone(who I later found out was Carol’s husband, Joe.) He would not give me Carol’s name(at the time); he said that the truck and auto tow were working the day before and it wasn’t his problem if rental equipment was not customer ready at pickup.(Can you believe this??? And, he’s representing the company!!) He went onto to insinuate that my $ 50 credit would not be granted. I asked for the manager’s name; he would not provide. I submitted a complaint to Uhaul(corporate), eventually spoke to the area sales manager and told him about my experience. In the end, I did get my $ 50 credit. Here’s the lesson — if you are in a customer relation position, you HAVETOBERESPECTFUL and ACCOMMODATING. Joe seriously needs a crash course in customer relationships, effective communication and sensitivity training. People like him give businesses a bad name. From my understanding, this was not his first«run in» with a customer.
