Van Linn’s Transmission

Last winter the idle pulley broke on my car, leaving me stranded. My warranty company called a tow truck, which luckily was Van Linn’s. At the garage they quickly assessed the problem fixed it in less than a day and billed my warranty. I still owed a little, but the price was very reasonable. The best thing about these guys is their honesty, though. I mentioned that I thought my transmission might need work, since there was a hard shift from 1^st gear. They test drove it and told me that they could charge me to test the transmission, but advised me not to waste my money since this is normal operation for my car. Many mechanics would have taken advantage of this situation. I highly recommend these honest and skilled mechanics!

I needed the clutch replaced on my vehicle. I placed a call to inquire about an estimate, and after a few hours I received a phone call back with a reasonable estimate and an explanation of what needed to be done and how long it would take. Dave and Andrew were very polite.
After I had dropped the vehicle off, I got a phone call later on saying what the findings were and how things were going. I was truly impressed with that aspect. I just assumed they were going to do the work and call me when it was done.
The work that was done was very close to the initial estimate. Can’t really account for incidentals like fluids and such so I wasn’t upset. After getting into my vehicle it was clean, no dirt, dust or grease.
Very professional and did what they said they would in the amount of time I was told to expect.
