This is the 4th Summer we have brought our Nephew here for a 2 week stint and we have been pretty happy overall with the day camp. The counselors are fairly young, but they are energetic and good with the kids. The activities are varied and keep the kids pretty engaged with a couple of exceptions, such as the Arts & Crafts which seems to be more like day care with some beads and crayons, rather than projects with instruction. They do a lot of swimming as well as beach days and group activities. The counselor to child ration may not be quite as favorable as they claim, but I don’t have any major complaints in that department, partially because they keep the kids pretty well organized. The food served is pretty mediocre, not exactly the healthiest but it could be worse and i understand they have to deal with a lot of picky eaters. This is a good camp for kids to branch out a bit and socialize with ages they may not interact with at school, while doing varied activities as opposed to shooting baskets all day or doing marathon Kung Fu.

Our 2nd summer here and I would never allow my child ther again! The counselors are inexperienced and have no communication skills towards the parents when an issues arrives. My son got bullied during his time there and I have picked my son and he was crying his eyes out. That has not happened before! So I had asked the camp counselors what had happened and I was totally IGNORED! I’m not a «helicopter» mom, if that is what you are thinking. I believe all children(who are human beings) will get into conflicts one way or another and I know my son is old enough to speak up to an adult when the situations happens. But this time he did and the counselors didn’t even bother to break up the fight or talk to the bullying parents about it.
