Just passing through Aptos and wanted a good breakfast burrito. Unilocal led me to the right place. Placed an order over the phone since I was in a rush. Even though they sounded busy, the person taking my order didn’t make me fill rushed and even cracked a few jokes. I knew I was going to a place with quality people. I arrived, paid for my burrito & had it all within two minutes. I wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy the atmosphere. Great indoor & outdoor seating, and just steps from the beach. And the burrito, it did not disappoint. Super tasty. Excellent experience all the way around.

We love their southwest chicken sandwich! The bread is amazing. The California club and their burger are also great. Nice spot to sit outside and have lunch while watching the waves.

Their French toast is awesome and the BLT is piled high with bacon. Love this gem. I also like the tuna wrap with wasabi mayonaise. Just across from the beach too!

Super good breakfast burritos, and their chicken/turkey bacon sandwich is so good. Big enough for two.

Beautiful location, retro vibes, and easy food. Came here for breakfast burritos before heading to the beach. It’s a busy location with a large menu and nice indoor/outdoor seating. It is perfect for a large group because you order at the counter and there is something for everyone.

Happened to find this place as I was parking and starving. Decided to give it a try and I am so happy I did. I took their recommendation and had the special Calamari steak sandwich. It was fantastic!!! The produce was so fresh and beautiful and the calarmai steak was seasoned just right. I can’t wait to try them again. The lady behind the counter was so very nice and brought our food outside for us. We walked in at the right time because after I ordered there was a line out the door behind me. That tells you that this place is popular and great food and customer service.

Love, love, love. We live here in Aptos and it’s a true gem. The breakfast burritos are big enough to split. The food is fresh and delicious. It’s extremely casual, outdoor seating with a beach view. Come as you are. The staff is fast and super friendly. Check it out.

Got here at 4:40 on a Sunday and there was a sign on the counter that said they would be closing shortly so they were no longer making sandwiches. In my experience, a business isn’t closed unt they CLOSE. Lame.

One of the best breakfast burritos I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot.

Considering your choices, Pixie Deli should have enough variety for everyone in your group to find something to eat. I had the California Club and found the crispy bacon pieces perfectly accented the turkey, avocado and cheese. Hubby ordered the tri-tip his way: with only BBQ sauce and tomato slices on a French roll. It was very good! The deli is stocked with all kinds of beverages and sides, including chips, candy, and their own version of deviled eggs(no mayo that I could detect and relish for a light sweetness and crunch). You’ll find seating outdoors under the umbrellas with a view across the parking lot next door to the water, as well as a few seats up close to the building where we sat for more shelter from the wind. If you’re really wimpy you can sit inside at a number of tables. 3.5 stars, but marking off 4 instead of 3 to help support the locals!

Solidly ambivalent. If you get a beer and a breakfast burrito with salmon, you’ll walk away with a 4-star experience. If you get an undercooked quesadilla, cold tri-tip, or an old deli salad, you’ll walk away with a 1 star experience. Nice guys. Nice location. Just stick with the breakfast burritos.

Yes.Yes.Yes. we make at least one stop a year on our vacation here in Aptos. It is part of our vacation! They rotessire chicken every single day for the fresh sandwiches and half chicken dish. The beer selection is awesome. The breakfast burrito is a real treat. They hand you a slip of paper and you decide what you want on it… bacon, chorizo, ham, potatp, grilled jalapeño, avacado. the list goes on. My kids LOVE the french toast. My only complaint is the prices are a little steep but it is right on the beach. so we will pay. We sit outside and listen to the ocean and sip delicious local beers. Year after year.

This place has gone way downhill. Food is basically from Costco and priced way too high. But I can deal w/that. What I can’t deal with and what really bugs me and why I don’t go much anymore — ESPECIALLY on nice sunny days — is because they are short staffed. ALWAYS. Picture this — a beautiful sunny day and spring break. You know there will be crowds. Yet, you have one person who is both working the cash register AND taking lunch orders. And the line grows longer and longer. I — and about 3 others — just walk out. So either management doesn’t give a s$!t or assumes that because they are the only lunch spot in the area customers will just deal w/it. Like me! Ughhhhh. I’m done w/this place for awhile.

Don’t bother, pack a lunch for the day, it would be 10x better and you would save yourself money. I thought they were extremely rude. I ended getting a sandwich for $ 10.00, I could have gotten a better one for $ 5.00 at Raley’s. All around bad experience, I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Disney, The Lost Boys, and Tink would be proud of Pixie Deli! We got the California Club Sandwich. Bacon cooked just the way you like it, generously graces the avocado, Swiss, tomato, and turkey. Perfect warmth and amount of mayo. The owner makes the experience. He is kind, funny, and speaks to you as a friend. Great spot when needing lunch in Aptos on the beach.

No bad but definitely pricey! Also, be aware of the wait around a 20 – 25 minute wait for two sandwiches. We came here on a Sunday around 12:30. The place wasn’t too busy inside and the line was short. We ordered sandwiches to go and had them on the beach where I proceeded to unevenly apply sunscreen resulting in wicked uneven sunburn. YAY! ok, on to the review… The Place: The place itself looks like a little shack from the outside. When you walk in it opens up and you notice there is plenty of space. There is outside seating(GL with that, I only have 60 years to live…). There are a few chairs to sit at while you wait. There is also a condiment area where you can grab ketchup, mustart, etc. They also have lots of pictures up on the wall. So I snapped a pic of me flexing and posted my own(Jk :(…). The Food: My favorite part was the bacon. real thick artery clogging bacon! I ordered the California club which came with Turkey, bacon, avocado, cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion. This was all separated by another slice of bead in between this sammich. Yes it was kind of filling(because of dem carbs) but its still expensive IMO The Staff: I’m pretty sure the staff was Filipino or Vietnamese. They had a slight accent but were friendly with us. There were times when someone wanted to change their order and they were back and ford not being able to find it since I think they wrote the wrong name down. It was free entertainment watching this kid give a name and the lady repeat a completely different one. :D The Price: Ok the stuff is pricey. for a sandwich which seemed big(because of the bread) it cost me 10.50. yowza! a couple of deli places back home charge 6.50 for something similar. Then again, they are not so close to the beach! I would say the average price is around 9 bucks for a sammich. They do take CC! Parking: There is street parking. Again, we got there at 12:30 and found a spot right on the street. only a few steps from the restaurant and a couple more from the beach. There is not a lot to park in so don’t even try. Would come back if there is nothing else Id want to try around. Its not bad taste wise just a hunk of change for this poverty Unilocaler

The pixie deli was pretty good for a first timer. The food was fresh and fairly fast for a Sunday afternoon. Semi over priced. Unfortunately for my friend her experience wasn’t as good that day. She ordered a pesto mayo chicken sandwich not knowing the sandwich had ONLY pesto and mayo and cut up chicken bits(yuck). She returned it and asked for the turkey club expecting to receive the same thing as I bought(in the photo attached). When she received the sandwich it wasn’t toasted nor the same size! Automatically the owner began yelling«it’s the same thing, same thing». Unfortunately I didn’t have the sandwich I bought on me, so we weren’t capable of comparing when obviously it wasn’t the«same thing». If your a first timer there, get something you know you like? Sad because it’s always fun experimenting but at some places it’s just better no to…
