This is a vegetarian restaurant, but the Taiwanese style prepared the food was more salt and other ingredients to enhance the flavors. –parking: I’m not sure how easy you can find a street parking, I didn’t see any parking lot for this restaurant around. So you might have to look for a parking in the side street. –service: I originally called to placed the orders the food after reviewing from Unilocal. The lady who picked up the phone was not nice to me. I told her I cannot find the name, since there’s not menu on the website, I described the dish I wanted to place the order to her, she’s not patient at all, she said she didn’t know. I doubt about how familiar with their menu, plus there’s not much items on the menu. At the end, we had to go there, I saw the special on the wall. Oh well, it’s their house special, how can she not know about it? The waitress was nice to us, she recommended their house specialty to us. — cold dish seaweed was ok, lack of flavor and it’s too thick for a cold dish. It’s just very few of that in a mini plate, not worth for the price at all. –radish cake was ok, you have to dip some hot source with it, or else it will be very plain. –sour hot soup was nothing more than just hot. The ingredients were tofu and some dry bamboo, the soul of MSG brought up the flavor. –mixed cold plate: that’s the only one worth trying. There’s some aged tofu, chewy jelly like stuff, cucumbers slides, hot chilly oil and some cilantro mixed together in a small plate for $ 8.95. You definitely agree it’s over price for that. Overall, you don’t feel healthy even you’re eating vegetarian foods.

Rainbow rolls are delicious and everything is vegetarian. Ordered a couple of noodle dishes and was not impressed.

Ordering entrees is better because lunch special portions are pretty small. I love the beef noodle soup and Mapo Tofu. The curry was ok and the milk tea is not as good as I thought it would be. Overall service is great and friendly staff.

I would give this place 4 ½ stars. Pleasant atmosphere, clean and good service. I would say most food is made to order, yet still served fast! Food overall was tasty. Most of the food is vegan and/or vegetarian, but still had flavor enough for a non vegan, non vegetarian.

Good vegetarian spot. It’s close to work, so I just walked and it’s convenient. The shop is small and quaint. I ordered to go, so I can’t really comment on the service. But the cashier was nice and they were accommodating. I ordered the curry veggie lunch special, with no rice. It was fast. I ordered and I waited less than 5 mins, and it was done. The curry was nice and flavourful with plenty of veggies and the lunch comes with fresh veggie roll. Although I’m not a vegetarian, I would come back again. I definitely recommend this spot to others. Later!

soOOOOoooo good and affordable! Customer service can be a little different than other places. They highly encourage you to finish your food and not waste which I respect. Food doesn’t even taste vegetarian but im glad it is

This place is great because who doesn’t love vegetarian Chinese food that isn’t loaded with MSG? I’ve been coming here for about 2 years now and I have brought lots of friends and family here. The same people have been working here this whole time and they are really nice. The food always comes out quick and it’s always tasty! I really love that they serve vegetarian meat here. The food has less oil and salt than all the other Chinese food places in the area. Usually when I have Chinese food I feel heavy. I step off the curb and feel like I’m going to break the ground fall into hell. HOWEVER. When I leave this place I feel full but not heavy!!! They really don’t like when you waste food here(because you shouldn’t be wasting food) so let them know if there’s something you don’t want in your dish! :) I just always think it’s nice to do that instead of picking it out.

This place is definitely a 3.5, but Unilocal doesn’t allow me to do that so I’m rounding it off to 4 stars! Woo Woo! I like that this place is a Chinese Vegetarian place, since often times it’s hard for me to find one that fits that specific type. During actual CNY, we were told by family that we were not allowed to eat meat AND garlic/onions. My SO pointed out that this place doesn’t use garlic or onions for our dishes for flavoring which I wonder has to do for religious purposes… Who knows! #5 Pan Fried Radish Patties — delicious! Similar to turnip cakes. Mm. #22 House Special Noodle(Soup) — very filling! Large bowl with large portions. The soup contains Chinese herbs, carrots, mushrooms, taro, and cabbage! They also had something that«looked» like it would be fish dumpling but it was filled with mushrooms and other goodies instead. I’ll go to this place when I’m in the area and I’m craving something healthy, vegetarian, and affordable. This is a great little spot!

Reasonably priced for healthy food. Got the curry on brown rice. It came with two rainbow rolls and some steamed veggies. Not bad for $ 8! Their rainbow roll is like a veggie noodle wrap with mayo on top. Service wasn’t exactly welcoming but it was their lunch time. Would definitely come back to try out some more stuff.

Was looking for a vegetarian friendly lunch option recently and was super pleased with my choice! I have been here a couple times before but since 2011 or so. Da lu mian was tasty: thick, stewy brown broth with lots of cabbage, carrot, and tender noodles. I also had an egg in mine, but our server was very attentive about asking if we would be okay with that– a plus for the vegans out there, I would imagine. The rainbow rolls were good way to start the meal of but not as good as I remembered; maybe it was an off day. I REALLY loved the wontons in chili oil, however. Also, portions are large but moderately priced. Would definitely come back the next time I am in town!

Came for Sunday lunch, got delicious food and friendly service. I’ve tried many vegetarian restaurant and most of them are so greasy with too many sodium. Bean spout is flavorful and not greasy/too salty at all. Danggui noodles was soooo good and fried rice is a must try!

I’ll just get straight the point. Food is good. Good variety of vegetarian food. Number 1(under appetizers) my favorite thing to order. Service is horrible. The waitress who is always there is rude and stingy. Don’t come here if you want a good time. You’re better off just ordering take out.

This place is a hidden gem! Even though its in downtown, parking isn’t very difficult at all; out front there are a bunch of spaces and in the back there is free public parking lot. I came in during lunchtime on a Wednesday and was seated immediately. The service is great. They’re fast and friendly. At first she spoke Chinese to me because.well.I’m Chinese but quickly changed to English after I told her I couldn’t speak Chinese. I ordered the lunch special(which is now $ 6.50 as opposed to $ 5.99 in one of the pictures above). It was the stewed«pork» with pickled vegetables and brown rice(subbing brown rice is .15 charge). It came out promptly with a side of steamed veggies and three pieces of their«rainbow roll.» Starting with the main course, it was good. It wasn’t overly greasy and it definitely did not taste like vegetarian food, which is always a plus as I am not vegetarian. It had a great texture and balanced flavor. Despite being cooked with pickled veggies the main course was not sour nor did it have a pickled flavor to it, which I frankly appreciate. The veggies are just steamed veggies in sesame oil. Nothing really special about them. The rainbow rolls, however, were wonderful. I never would have thought that I would like veggie rolls. But now I guess I can say that I do! They were packed with just the right amount of veggies. The skin was soft like rice paper but didn’t rip or tear as one might expect from rice paper. I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch and it was well worth the price they charge.

My past experiences at beansprouts have always been good, but this last time I came, the service was absolutely horrible! I feel like the waitress is nicer to customers who speak Chinese as oppose to the customers who don’t know how to speak Chinese. Some of the things she said were just absolutely rude. 1. My friend asks if she can add an egg to her Dan Dan mein and the waitress said no. Uhh… Why wouldn’t you add a damn egg, just charge extra for it, isn’t that better for you guys?! 2. We asked for extra hot sauce because me and my friends absolutely love hot sauce. The waitress said that theres already hot sauce in the Dan Dan mein. We look at the bowl and there’s just one pinch of hot sauce on the side. In our heads we’re like«uhh. This is not enough!» She said that we should taste it first before she will give us more. We’re like, uhh ok… Literally 10 seconds later I call her back over and ask for more hot sauce. I don’t understand why they had to second guess us. We can handle more spicy foods than they can, obviously! They seem very frugal about all their stuff; they don’t want to give out more stuff unless the customers absolutely need it. 3. The other waitress comes over, points at the little minuscule hot sauce they gave my friend in her bowl and said, «this is really spicy.» Uhh yeah lady it wasn’t spicy enough lol especially if you put very little hot sauce, it’s not going to make a big difference. 4. When we finished our meal, me and my friends had a bunch of bean sprouts and carrots leftover because we hate eating those things. The waitress is like, «ok next time you tell us that you don’t like beansprouts and carrots so we don’t give it to you next time.» She was pretty much implying that we were wasting the food, but honestly, that was their fault because they don’t list all the ingredients they have in their dishes. Trust me, I hate wasting food more than they do, so if the menu said there were beansprouts in the dish, then obviously we would ask for no beansprouts. How are we suppose to know all the things in the dishes if you don’t list them on the menu? Whenever I come here with my mom, there’s never any problems because of course my mom speaks Chinese. There is just a huge language barrier and I guess their tone and attitude kind of rubbed us off the wrong way. It just seemed very rude and disrespectful to us. Oh well, I won’t be back because their food is just mediocre. I’ve had wayyyyy better vegetarian food in San Gabriel/Rosemead area.

Brought my friend here for lunch and the service wasn’t up to par of how I remembered it to be. I thought it was also disrespectful when the waitress/owner told my friend to finish her bowl of noodles in Chinese when she was already full. Sadly, this might be the last time I’ll come back. Thanks for making this eating experience a bad one for both of us!

A vegetarian haven indeed! My mom is a vegetarian so I always keep an eye out for new places to try. Located on Huntington drive, a busy street, its somewhat hard to find parking but there are ample parking spaces behind the stripmall. We ordered: Cold mixed plate: it had strips of konjac jelly, tomato, bean curd, cilantro, and a «fake» meat and it was my favorite dish. Goes well with plain rice its a tad spicy and flavorful. Can’t wait to eat it again… Rainbow row: it was filled with lettuce bits, noodleskin, peanut powder, nori and random veggies. Light and serves as great appetizer. Spicy wonton: tastes similar to the real version but the filling seemed to have bits of mushrooms. Not bad! Stir fried udon: perfect amount of saltiness. It had vegetarian shrimp, different konjacs, beansprouts, bokchoy, large bean curds, cabbage. The prices are just a tad steep, but its understandable bc vegetarian supplies are not exactly cheap to purchase. They have a lot of appetizer dishes as well as «combo» meals that already come with rice so it would be a good place for working people to grab a quick bite.

Took my parents here for a nice dinner. I feel bad because my dad is a meat eater, but my mom and I wanted something healthy, but they had lots of ‘fake’ meat! So, that works. FOOD: Miso-soup with noodles and fake ham — it was kinda bland. I had to ask for chili sauce to make it pop. The fake ham was alright… I kinda wish they added more tho because I only got one piece. Pineapple fried rice — this was actually pretty good. I had some for leftovers and it was still good. «Fish» dish — No. Just. No. SERVICE: It was standard. AMBIANCE: Cute, small restaurant. PARKING: Street OVERALL: It was okay. I really liked the fried rice and that’s it.

I’ve been here twice already. The first time, I left feeling just okay. The second time, I hoped I would find sometime that I loved. I did not. :( What I’ve Ordered — Rainbow Roll — Crispy«Chicken» — Cold Sesame Noodle — Hawaiian Pineapple Fried Rice — Udon Noodle Soup — Ja Jiang Noodles The Rainbow Roll was really good but super expensive just ordering it on it’s own as an appetizer. I recommend going for the lunch specials on the weekdays from open — 2. They give you 3 pieces of rainbow roll with your meal! The Crispy«Chicken» was good! The Cold Sesame Noodle, Hawaiian Pineapple Fried Rice, and Ja Jiang Noodles were bland. I’ve had better versions of these dishes. The Udon Noodle Soup was good but not amazing. Everything is overpriced if it’s not a lunch special. I won’t be back. :(

My BF is a meateater, Chinese, and loves his Ma Po Tofu. So I was a bit nervous about him ordering the Ma Po Tofu at this vegetarian restaurant knowing how picky he can be. Luckily he found it to be delicious and so did I. Although I could do without the peas and cubed carrots, the Ma Po Tofu had a tasty savory sauce and a spicy kick. We also ordered the Dumplings with bean curd, cabbage and mushrooms. Here’s the thing, the BF hates mushrooms. But he liked this. Great flavors and pretty filling for an appetizer. This too had a bit of a spicy kick. It sat on a bed of bean sprouts. I also love the fresh cilantro. I was curious about the Crispy Seaweed Wrap w/Bean Curd Skin. It was crunchy and had a sweet sesame hint about it. The BF wasn’t a fan but I liked it. I think it would be an excellent topping to a salad. But it’s good to munch on as a snack as well. I’d eat here again if I was in the area.
