These sisters are so sweet. They squeezed me in even though I called just 10 minutes before and Cathy had to leave for a doctor’s appointment. She did a fast and detailed job. No frills and she listened to my request to not cut the cuticles.

Cathy and Jill are so sweet and talkative! Very nice ladies. Affordable prices too. $ 9 for a manicure and $ 14 for a pedicure, $ 22 for both. No frills, spa pedicures, or gel polish in this shop. They do a very good job for what the prices are. Had a very nice experience and will be coming back soon!

Just what I wanted. A good, simple pedicure for a good price. Make an appointment though.

Cathy & Jill are sisters. They are very nice. My Mom & I both got a pedicure done. $ 14 for a pedicure. They do not have an ATM machine. They do not do gel nails.

I totally agree with the other reviews about this place being bare bones, which I don’t mind at all. Honestly I think it’s ridiculous to pay $ 25 for a manicure that’s just going to chip in a week. So if you’re high maintenance about your nails this is not the place for you. As someone mentioned they don’t even have fans, you have to air dry your nails. But for $ 9 a manicure this is totally fine by me. I went yesterday and there was only one other customer there so they took me right away. The lady was nice and the whole process took about 45 minutes. I was happy with my nails and will most likely be back.

Love these ladies. They did a very nice mani/pedi, lots of attention to detail. Shop is simple and no frills but very clean and well priced. $ 22 for mani/pedi cash only. They have a huge stack of magazines, a comfy couch and a big screen tv to keep everyone entertained. Next time I will bring my own polish because I wasn’t thrilled with the polish selection, but they are so sweet & fun I didn’t mind this a bit.

Cathy and Jill are both very sweet. It’s been a while since I got a mani-pedi and forgot how relaxing it was. This place was just close to the Double Tree hotel in Monrovia where I was staying for an event. They have mostly basic and popular nail colors in various shades of red and pink. I just brought my own nail polish from home, since I wanted a specific color to go with an outfit for an event later that day. The pedicure took about 30 minutes so plan accordingly. Cathy was deft and skilled, at no point was I ever wincing from a careless jab and only felt ticklish a couple times. Even when I accidentally messed up the polish on my left big toe, Cathy gracefully fixed it right away without any well deserved annoyance towards me. I initially just wanted a pedi only, but when I saw what a great job they did stayed and got a mani too. They were booked up with appointments but squeezed me after another appointment, just waiting 30 minutes more. Busy for a long weekend, it seemed like they had an endless stream of customers! Note: Book an appointment on a regular weekday in the future. FYI: Cash only! Please read that if not anything else, or else you end up leaving your daughter as collateral as one customer did in order to run to the bank. The have some spaces in the lot in the back, or park on the big street out front.

Went here this morning for the first time. I was in need of another nail place and I think this may be it. I don’t need all the bells and whistles, don’t need the massage chair as I never use them. Cathy did my pedicure and she was very gentle and thorough. Nice small place and easy to get to with plenty of street parking.

Just tried this place for the first time. If you’re used to a more modern or upscale salon with massage chairs and all, then this is not the place for you. Even before coming into the nail salon I just want a very basic mani-pedi. For $ 22 dollars this place is great! I am used to paying much more. Cathy and Jill are both very nice and accommodating. I didn’t have an appointment, but called ahead of time to let them know they would be expecting me. They are sisters and the only two working at the salon. I would definitely come again and would recommend friends too.

I read reviews here and there is a comment — caters more to the senior crowd and I concur, then again I am in the senior demographics! Teeny tiny shop and as others stated, no frills, they don’t even have the little fans to dry your nails… no massage chairs either. But what you do have is a small business that caters to its clients, I am not fancy schmancy, I simply get a manicure(I bring my own polish as I am a big Essie fan) and my nails look terrific. I think Cathy took care of me. $ 9.00 for a manicure??? Can’t beat that price

Best nail shop — EVER! Not only do Cathy and Jill greet you by name when you enter, they remember the small things like how you like the shape of your nails or your boyfriend’s name(from the one time had had a mani/pedi). Although they don’t have foot spas or massage chairs, I don’t care about the frivolous luxuries when I get quality work on my nails. Plus you don’t know how well workers clean those fancy foot spas between customers!

I got a fill with white tips and a pedicure. 5 Star treatment. Two tips: they only taken cash and make an appt or you won’t get in. The fill was fantastic and thorough and came out beautifully. My pedicure was relaxing, the massage was perfect and the polish came out perfect. The best part of the service here is that you can see the attention to detail and the pride that Cathy and Jill take in their work. The salon is small and impeccable and I will definitely be back. As for prices, they are not even comparable to other salons in the area, for a $ 14 pedicure I was more than impressed. The white tips fill for $ 19 was also a great deal. Excellent place, thank you Cathy and Jill!!!

This is not for anyone who is looking for a modern nail shop with massage chairs. The store is simple, and clean. However, I didn’t really enjoy conversing with the owners. They are very nice but their voice are pretty high pitched which makes the experience not the most relaxing one I’ve experienced. From what I have seen, this shop tailors to more senior customers. For a manicure and pedicure, it is about $ 22.

I lost a bet, so here I went. The punishment: a manicure and pedicure. So here’s probably a rare review from the perspective of a middle-aged Chinese heterosexual male who’s never had this done before. This small shop was here since 1987. Wow. The interior isn’t all decorative or anything. White walls. There’s a couch, 3 work stations, and a standard TV mounted on a wall. As the store title suggests, there are two employees there, Cathy & Jill. Since I was scheduled so perfectly, I got the chance to have them both work on me. It never hurt physically(though perhaps a little psychologically as a man). Once done with my hands and feet, they put lotion and did a light massage, which was very pleasant. And then Jill offered to gloss buff my fingernails, which is like the male equivalent service to nail polish. I was like, «Uhhh… okay.» And now I have shiny nails… A little creepy, though pleasant to touch. I wondered how much they would charge me. Would I get charged less for being a guy? They charged $ 24 for both manicure and pedicure, and the reasoning that came to mind was the amount of time they spent on me. In total, they worked on me for about 50 minutes, which was slightly longer than my female companion(who was charged the same price, and she had nail polish and American tips applied). Guess it takes longer to fix my disgusting man hands. Look, my rating is not the from the viewpoint of the average customer who frequents nail salons. I’m just being honest. Spending $ 24 bucks for nails that I will usually spend a minute to just cut isn’t worth it in my book. Sorry, I wasn’t converted. So my initial reaction is to rate it 3 stars. Don’t get me wrong though. It’s a nice place with a friendly staff and good service. The customers that I saw there all seemed to love it there. And seeing my companion’s happy face over her mani/pedi(as well as her getting me to participate in a nail treatment)… that’s something that makes it all worth it. And for that, I’m a fan and thus the final verdict: 4 stars. Enjoy. ;) PS — If anyone brings up this review with me in person, I will flatly deny being here.
