Great little dive bar that was very clean. Bartender was friendly and poured 2 great bloody Mary’s that were only $ 4 each! Sold! This bar is too far from home to be «my neighborhood bar» or else it would be my hang out. A place were werewolves can just hang out in the dark until the full moon is over. Very chill place. Good date place or hanging out after going to the track maybe. They had food out and even though I wasn’t a regular they were nice enough to invite me. I’d come back here.

The bar is in a great location except for parking, but that’s the only thing I could say is minor. The band plays blues and some classic rock. THEYAREAMAZING!!! The drinks are priced perfectly and made even better than that. The bar staff is amazing and definitly welcoming. I went there for the first time last week to meet for a date. It was awsome, so much in fact I am going back tonight with the same date. If you live in the area or not and have never been to the first cabin, please stop by for drinks and great music… ENJOY!!!

What a place! It is very cozy, and so very clean. Only the décor on the wall, and the savored patrons can tell how long the bar has been standing there. One thing I still don’t understand, is why would the dive bar open at 6am? :) How stressed out are people in the city of Arcadia. Bar tend’s name is placed on the wall, small corner reserved for live band action. Comfy chairs facing plenty of TV sports, and the music they play is very relaxing. The owners or whoever is responsible for decoration the place, had wall to wall mirrors, even inside the bathroom. That is a very smart move, which visually expanded the limited real estate into a whole other dimension. The drinks are delicious and potent, the price is righteous, service is great! I enjoyed myself thoroughly.

Took me 10 minutes for a bartender to notice me, walked by me several times, place had only a few people, so I don’t know why I was ignored.

A fun place to meet a friend for a drink. Got to love the live music– the stage is the size of a postage stamp!

I just want to reiterate my great feelings for The First Cabin. It is a spectacular bar thanks to the owners, customers and the bartenders… especially Jennifer! She is a day bartender, and is very talented, beautiful, witty, and entertaining. Keep up the good work. This may be the best bar in Southern California.

Bar opens at 6am! We drive from an hour away on a Saturday to get there at 6am. My boyfriend has his Bday party here every year and yes we get there a 6am! The bartender Shawn is already there at 6am and sleepy eyed like the rest of us but gets the job done and drinks are great! Surprisingly other people are there that early also. With no windows, we lose track of time and feels like you are in an old Las Vegas lounge. No food but you can get pizza delivered. Always a good time!

I have been here a handful of times. My last visit was on Halloween with a group of friends. Although this place was packed, the people here were friendly. They have a full bar and a house band that plays regularly, which is pretty awesome given the space!

Went in on a Saturday night at round 11ish, and my friends and I had a blast. When we first walked in we were a bit hesitant to stay because it was so crowded but one bartender who was a young lady with long black hair came up to us and welcomed us and asked what we wanted to drink before we even got to the bar. We sat down and a band started to play(we later found out they are the house band). The band was so darn good, they played Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Rolling stones, they were really great and such a blast to watch. I was surprised that I never waited for a drink despite how packed the bar was because the bartender was walking by our table asking us if we were okay every 15 minutes or so. Restrooms were clean, drinks were reasonably priced, the regulars were really nice as well. I will definitely be back.

Arcadia and Monrovia’s best bar! Okay, I have to change that to the«BESTBARINTHESANGABRIELVALLEY.» :) I’m a local and I haven’t stepped foot in any other bar in the area since I discovered First Cabin a couple of years ago. I’m always greeted with a warm welcome and smile. Owners and bartenders at the Cabin are genuine, kindhearted people that treat everyone like family. The bar is famed for the warmth of its welcome and I enjoy the atmosphere and low price of its drinks. There are always smiles on everyone’s faces because the place is so much fun!

The First Cabin has been around for years and not much has changed. The owners keep the place clean and well maintained and the bathrooms are always clean(bonus points) Low prices on all drinks beers are $ 3-$ 5 when there is no band playing, the prices increase when a band is playing on Wed-Sat. night Mixed drinks are poured very strong, two drinks and I’m done. LOL It is a small narrow bar which gets loud and crowded on the weekends(standing room only).

After driving five and a half hours from the bay area, Steph S. and I were so happy we stumbled upon First Cabin Bar. Why? 1. On Thanksgiving Day,(almost) nothing was open before 11am. This bar, however, already had a few people throwing back beers, cocktails, and shots.(Hey, it’s 5pm somewhere in the world!) 2. It’s located a few blocks away from Boiling Point. So for all you AZNs that are looking at an one hour wait before lunch or dinner, drop by to kill some time! 3. It is an older crowd, but everyone seems really chill. Ain’t nobody got time for sleezes, creeps, or drama queens. It is a dive bar, by the way. 4. They have a couple of TVs, so it’s a great place to catch a game. Thank you for being open so we could watch the morning Thanksgiving game! 5. Bartender(maybe the owner? I forgot his name. :(Boo.) was super chill. He even made tamales for everyone! 6. And last, but not least… $ 4 beers. That’s right! Four. Dollar. Beers. Sure, they’re in bottles… but $ 4!(Can you tell I’m still in shock and can’t get over this fact?) There are no bars in LA, SF, or even ~non cool~ bars that offers $ 4 beers! First Cabin Bar is definitely one of the cooler dive bars I’ve been to! Cheers!

Live music, cute bartender, and awesome owner! It’s very dive-bar ish feel with older crowd but it was still fun with my friends :] +Came in last Friday for a night of casual drinking. One drink turned to two and soon enough we were having 5th or 6th cocktail thanks to the cute bartender, Alli! She’s smiles all around and encouraged us to kick back and drink more since it’s Friday night. Alli was super sweet, attentive, and personal. Two thumbs up for her. +I think the main bartender is also the owner of First Cabin Bar? He is plain awesome. We caught him drinking while bartending and he seemed pretty buzzed. Love it! +Cheap drinks! I bought a round of drinks, which included 4 drinks and total was only $ 37. Wahhh I love it! +Live band plays on Friday I think? They happened to be there this past Friday at least. They take song requests if they know how to play the song. We requested Gun n Roses’ — Sweet Child of Mine but unfortunately they didn’t know. :/But they played us some ACDC song and it was good! +Street parking available at the front of the bar. We’ll definitely come back again for another night of drinking here.

Beer = cold. Red Hook IPA = $ 6. Too pricey for a dive. Opens at 6 a.m. …really? Female server friendly on the tables she’s waiting. Average age approx. 49 – 52 earth years. The priest’s singer is loud One more thing I keep on enjoying the morning after«second hand cigarette smoke»

I have been going to First Cabin for about 8 years. Great place, friendly people. I love listening to Pat O’ Brien and the Priests of Love. They always play great, I do not know why they are not more famous. Like everyone says, Bobby, the bartender, serves great drinks and is really fast. I walk in and my drink is on the bar before I can sit down. The cocktail waitress is just unbelievable, do not know her name. Incredible hour-glass figure. No food except for maybe the beef jerky, so go in full. Pat O’Brien starts playing at 9pm, the place is usually full by 10pm on a Friday or Saturday. As most people wrote, it is a kind of a dive bar. But, hey, it works. The bathrooms and glasses are clean, that is all I care about. They run a clean ship, even if it is a little old. The décor must be from 1959. In the back there is a horse racing hall of fame. Go eat pizza at Zelos and then pop over to First Cabin, that is what I do.
