This was a different experience for me and I am giving it all stars because the mini me seemed to really enjoy it. The venue was awesome and I think Unilocal events help me discover places I never would on my own. It was kinda cool to have Jim Hensons daughter Heather be the host of the show which tied in with the nostalgic element of the event. The basic premise of the show was to watch the original Muppet Movie while Heather and some other guy(sorry I am too lazy to look it up) hosted. There were props, tons of singing, and who can forget the explosion of streamers at the end. It seemed to me that a lot of the adults there enjoyed it more than their kid(especially the folks behind me who knew every single line to the movie.) For me, it was a little on crack but I did enjoy myself. I really want to come back and see another performance here. I really loved the place and the staff were super friendly and attentive. Thanks Unilocal

Katie B. — Thank you for the COOLEST event hookups in all of Los Angeles! This was kind of like a family-friendly Rocky Horror Picture Show, but Muppet Style. We didn’t even have to bring our own supplies! THEY provided goodie bags with all the props we needed to participate. Super groovy to have the event hosted by Jim Henson’s daughter, Heather!!! I understand that some people might have been a little annoyed by overly-loud audience members. However, this wasn’t like seeing a movie at the ArcLight: über expensive, assigned seating, no noisy children… entertainment snobbery at it’s finest. Look, you can’t go to events like this expecting everyone around you to sing well, or to NOT say the lines along with the movie. That’s part of the fun. If everyone was silent throughout, it wouldn’t have been fun at all. Go to events like this, or anything labeled«sing-a-long» with the understanding that die-hard fans will show up. Those fans show up in order to sing(or make musical-ish noise) at the top of their lungs, for the pure enjoyment of the movie/production. About the event — beautiful theatre, super friendly and fun staff, fantastic SWAG, and BUBBLES! Who doesn’t love bubbles? My kids hadn’t ever watched«The Muppet Move» before. I thought this was the perfect venue to introduce it to them. *I’m assuming that there wasn’t a «YEE» page created for these reviews since this was a one-time event.

The Theater: Very well maintained theater. All the staffs are very friendly. The Show: What a classic movie! Not only the kids love it, also the parents are familiar with the songs as well! Many famous stars in the movie. Bring back all the memories. Very entertaining! Lots of audience participation time, kids are having so much fun! They prepare all the props for the audience. It is not just watching a movie anymore, it is more like a fun activity! We follow the hosts on the stage, using different props at different movie scene. The Parking: Private parking lot. For this event, there is no charge for the parking. There are also street parking(free). Thank you Unilocal for sharing this fun event with us!

The legacy the Jim Hensen left behind 25 years ago today, is one of creativity and a desire to leave the world a better place. We got the opportunity to celebrate him today at a great locals venue in Arcadia. Hosted by his Daughter Heather, we got to watch an interactive experience of the 1979 original. There was staff dressed and entertaining with props throughout the film. At times there was paper planes, flying Gonzo on balloons just like the movie as it payed. Obviously this was for children but the parents including myself really enjoyed the journey. This venue is awesome for events in Arcadia, very clean and spacious, thank you Unilocal for extending the invite. Anytime we can stay local and visit something new, I’m in.

My experience here was mixed. First of all, I must have really great seats because I can hear the sound even if I was deaf. Not to mention, I sat in front of the loudest woman in the whole theater who constantly said every line prior to being said on the big screen. She also laughed out of turn and well as Yelled out EVERY. SINGLE. ACTOR’s name. You want more? I also sat in front of another lady who actually sang as if she belong to The Voice. She sang great, however she was overshadowed by the annoying lady. Besides that, this play was really over the top for the senses. I grew up with the Muppets(my favorite is Beaker, he is so cute!) and though I do love the muppets, this was a total spin on it because it was more interactive and quite honestly, I thought it was a little too much. There was so much little props that by the end, everyone forgot about the feather and a few other props. Yes, props. We had a clapper, didn’t get a prune, glow necklace, streamers, fan, Tiara which of course can’t fit my big head, and more. I thought it was cool, but honestly, it was a little too much for attention purposes for my kids and the kids that I see in front of me. The staff that walked around was kind of cool. Again, I thought that was a little bit too much. Once, twice, or three times was cool, after that I thought it lost some of it’s steam. I do have to say this was great for the family as a whole. Cool experience. I did write on the tip that this is for ADHD adults. Let me just clarify that I meant there were so much going on, that no one could keep up with that I was supposed to do. Definitely not just sit back and relax. Thanks UnilocalLA for the tickets, I always do appreciate you giving me these for a fun Saturday afternoon. I will try and volunteer at an upcoming event hopefully soon.

First I would like to thank Katie B for the tickets to attend this great show. My children and I thank and appreciate you. This show was presented by Ibex puppetry. The host was the late great Jim Henson’s daughter –Heather Henson and Davey Rocker. They were wonderful. Heather shared her childhood memories with us. The was an awesome show. Very interactive, entertaining and funny. The staff, hosts and actors were great. The walked around before the show doing jokes, taking selfie and goofing off. It was so much cool. At the door you received a free goodie bag. It contained a glow necklace, hand clapper, butterfly fan, stretchy frog, magic streamer, tiara, ice cream cone that shoots, a mini American flag, police badge and a feather. Each item was used for different part of the orginal Muppet Movie. So picture this, your watching the movie on the screen but you have actors and actresses acting the movie out in real life at the same time. They flew paper airplanes, kites, twirling rainbows and they even threw water on us. My daughter was chosen to dance with an actor in the aisle. It was super cute. We sang our hearts out. This was a great experience. Not a boring moment. We all enjoyed it. Thank you Arcadia Performing Art Center.
