Pretty tasty Chinese food in a shack-y type joint you’d typically expect to find hot plates and $ 1 Chinese grub. The food here is made to order and tastes like old school grub prepared by old school cooks themselves. Upon entrance the older lady at the front of the house was looking at us like wtf are we doing here? But after ordering a few plates each her attitude changed and turned out to be pretty pleasant! I ordered Vermicelli noodles with salted fish & chicken which they didn’t have on the Menu but prepared for about $ 7.75 which is a great deal as it costs $ 12+ at other joints. Also ordered deep fried tofu topped with chopped green onions, sliced Serrano & garlic, and sweet & sour pork. The sweet & sour seemed to be topped with house made sauce as it wasn’t overly coated in what what you’d typically find, that neon red goopy syrup. All items were pretty damn tasty and came in huge generous portions served with a side of rice for a total of $ 23 for three entrees. I would advise on taking the food to go since the ambiance here isn’t too inviting. Friend got steamed dumplings & Duck Noodles which came with a side of broth for a total of $ 14+ change. Not bad for the money, worth it for a quick lunch grub if in the area. And they accept credit cards for a minimum of $ 10.

The food here is AMAZING… everything is super authentic Taiwanese. Definitely try the oyster pancake… it’s to die for

Was excited to try this place because a friend told me it was bomb. Took me a while to order cause everything looked good but I ended up getting the Mixed Vegetable Chow Mein(crispy), the Fried Rice & Tofu with Brown Sauce combo(came with Hot & Sour soup), & a Boba Milk Tea. (I meant to write this review months ago but somehow it is still in my drafts!) Well, I believe this place is family-owned & the workers here are really nice. Have been here at least 10 – 15 times with friends or family since being introduced to it. Prices are cheap and they are super friendly, quick, and the food tastes good. What else can you ask for?

I love this little place. Always good food, and I have had many dishes here and always fast. The lady is helpful in telling you about the food. A go to place when you just want some good Chinese food without the fuss.

Food was mediocre. They give good portions but taste-wise, not the best. The beancurd with veggies was flavorless and the fried rice could have used more meat. The only thing good about the place was the cheap prices.

This place is terrible, I don’t know why its getting such high reviews. I ordered the duck and salty fish fried rice, the orange chicken, kung pao chicken, fried yee mien and wonton soup. Only the soup was good hence the 1 star. The fried rice was soggy and had alot of hard inedible pieces which I have no clue what it is. The fried noodles were also a bit wet and bland with a lot of raw bean sprouts. The orange chicken was hard and dry. The kung pao chicken was just gross… only way I could describe it. This place makes Panda Express a gourmet restaurant. Never coming back or recommending.

Tell me where are you going to find this flavor at a cheaper price? Nowhere. This is the place to go for good cantonese food. Yes like my Unilocaler friends have said this place is very small, outdated, plain and very simple. Nothing fancy here but the flavor of the food is so GOOD. You can have a good meal for less than $ 10. It’s a family business and the lady in charge of running this place is really nice. Give it a try, you have nothing to lose…

I have been coming here once a week for s while because the food was decent and the price was cheap. I have seen the food prices started to change and the owner had raised the prices tremendously. The food quantity and quality became less too. Sad but for a nicer atmosphere with same price, I would go somewhere else from now on

Came here with my coworker who loves this place. I agree it was yummy but the Chinese food is Cantonese style. Get your favorites and it won’t disappoint you. I like the salted spicy pork chops.

The dirtiest Chinese fast good restaurant I have ever been to. When I open the back glass door, a few flies hit me in the face trying to get out. Tables and chairs are sticky and smelly but food tastes good and is cheap. Just make sure you order take out.

My buddy Brad raved about this spot and it lived up to everything he said it would be! Good looking out! My girl and I shared the orange chicken, shrimp fried rice, and beef noodles. All fire! We had plenty left over!

This is our go to place for fast, fresh chines food. Their combo plates for 5.50 are delicious and fresh. They make everything from scratch right when you order it. It comes with your choice of meat, plain or fried rice(i believe you can substitute chow mein also instead of rice) and a cup hot and sour soup. Every time we’ve gone, its been the best service, and fast! They seem really busy with call-in orders but they churn out plates fast. Owner has said they’ve been there for 12 years. Its cheap(for standard prices, with exception for seafood plates). Fast. And yummy.

I’m in love with this place! The canto style fried noodles was so crispy and flavorful. Wontons were huge with 1 whole giant shrimp in them. The owner was very attentive and nice. The price was very reasonable. Will definitely be back for more!

Wow, this place makes some delicious chinese takeout. Me and my boyfriend are so satisfied with their tofu over brown sauce, schezuan string beans, and garlic eggplant. They have always given us a large rice with no extra charge. We feel really happy to have such great plantbased options nearby. Also the people who work here are the nicest! The food is cheap too This is easily my favorite chinese place in town.

This is between work and home, I really like cheap Chinese food, I live in the right town. Everything on the menu is between $ 5 and $ 8 Lots of parking in the back, been here several times. Seating for about 20 people. Husband and wife crew. Order takes 10 minutes. Ever seen ‘dude where’s my car’ when they are ordering at the Jack in Box? Same lady. Of course they have a boba machine. Portions are large. Food is ok, made to order.

I thought this was a Panda Express type place where the food is precooked and more cafeteria style but I was wrong. Food is prepared fresh and fast. I guess that’s why«express» is in their name. The place is SMALL, there are a couple tables and counter space. The lady was using one of the tables to prep a pile of green beans. The Unilocal photos of the beef and bamboo and the salt and pepper shrimp spiked my interest in eating here. We ordered the beef and bamboo and beef chow fun to eat there and then placed a take out order of the salt and pepper shrimp. The chow fun and the beef and bamboo came out super fast. I didn’t think the chow fun was salty, it was actually kind of bland and the beef was a bit dry but the noodles had a nice char just the way I like it. The beef in the bamboo dish was very flavorful and tender. The bamboo pieces are big and I wish they were cooked longer in the sauce. But they were very juicy. Piping hot juices would squirt out every time you would bite into a piece of bamboo, so be very careful if you are eating it right out of the kitchen. The salt and pepper shrimp got a bit«sweaty» in the take out box but but they were still pretty good. It’s well seasoned and the batter/seasoning is just enough to coat the shells but not to get super soggy. I bet they are even better when you eat it there. The place itself isn’t very attractive, it’s a bit stuffy and I felt like there were a number of bugs flying around. But you get decent food and quite a bit of it for a decent price. They even include white rice with your entrée orders.

I can’t get enough of this place. The lady knows who I am when I call to place an order. My new addiction here is the deep fried salt and pepper tofu. It comes with white rice which I don’t eat. I’m not a white rice eater in general. The House noodle soup comes with a little of everything, wontons, BBQ pork, shrimp, and veggies. It’s so good especially for the price. My husband loves the salted fish and chicken fried rice. So far the only thing I wouldn’t really recommend is the porridge, but with a few dashes of soy sauce, then it’s much better. All in all, still the best Chinese food in the area. Accepts Visa/Mastercard.

*sigh* I was soooooo excited to try this place, but one tiny thing changed all that. FOOD — 4 Stars: Fried Rice: I’m a huge fan of rice… anything with rice… and fried rice is no exception. This was delicious! It was not overly oily, the meat was balanced along with veggies. Dumplings: The dumplings were really tasty. They tasted fresh and were full of meat. It was totally like nothing I’ve had in the area considering dumplings in the immediate vicinity are usually smaller and fried. Here, they are steamed and pretty large. French Style Filet Mignon: This was pretty good. The meat was not as tender as I thought it would be, but it had a great flavor that I liked a lot. The glaze was really yummy and I enjoyed it a lot. The broccoli was a good balance so that the filet wasn’t overwhelming you with glaze. SERVICE — 4 Stars: The service was alright. We walked in and it was a bit awkward since we weren’t greeted immediately. We just kind of stood there and stared at the menu on the wall until they finally said hi to us and asked if we would eat in or take out. The lady and I’m assuming part owner was very sweet and the food came out in a decent amount of time. ATMOSPHERE —(–5 Stars): Well, this place is a bit run down or it can be considered homey or quaint or a «hole in the wall.» I really don’t mind a place that’s older especially when the food is amazing. So, this place did not disappoint. However, I do have an issue when you’re eating your email, enjoying how tasty everything is, and then a tiny cockroach crawls along the side of your table. Immediately, I lost all hunger and wanted to leave. It was crawling on the table and then going under it. I was so disappointed because I was really looking forward to eating here after living near this place for so many years, but was let down by the unsanitary condition of the restaurant. It just made me think that if this cockroach was crawling on our table, what’s going on in the kitchen where food is exposed? RECOMMENDATION: I’m so torn because I went in with high expectations and as the meal progressed, I was really happy that everything tasted great. I even said that I was happy to be living near an awesome Chinese restaurant. However, with cleanliness being a huge issue for me(or for anyone I would presume), I just don’t think I can go back for a long, long, long while. I will recommend that you eat there at your own risk with the hopes they resolve their bug issue, but just be warned.

Was sad to see that Tasty To Go changed ownership; I thusly lost my ability to get a cheap, 2-item combo to go from them, so I came here on a Friday night! The place is pretty small as far as seating goes, but there’s a large parking lot. I ordered the $ 6 orange chicken combo special: 2 «items» of Orange Chicken, Rice & a cup of hot & sour soup. NOTBAD. The owner is super friendly and nice, so the transaction was smooth and quick. I believe they take card, but I just gave cash to make things easy for everyone. The food itself was decent, nothing spectacular, but nothing less than what I expected for the price I was paying. I’ll definitely be back to try out some of their more authentic dishes!

I first discovered this place when my buddy had lunch with me here. He said it was ok and very cheap. That’s pretty much how it is. There is a super nice lady working the counter that speaks English. All the times I’ve come here, she is the only one serving dishes, answering phone orders, manning the cash register and helping box our leftovers! The chef also cooks REALLY quickly despite all the takeout orders and eat-in orders! It’s Cantonese food but it’s not the best. Don’t come here with high expectations but do expect to come here to get huge portions for a cheap price. A lot of their dishes are not made with a very authentic Cantonese chef in a big dim sum/Chinese dinner banquet restaurant, but are made well enough to satisfy those cravings cheaply. You can’t go wrong with the fried rice here. Actually, their salted fish and chicken fried rice surprised me. Tons of wok heat and pretty good too. Beef Chow Fun is on the salty side but again, great wok heat! Salt and pepper wings are hot, crispy and a bit on the salty side. Wonton noodle soup here is pretty good and reminds me of OK places in Hong Kong. Lunch specials are cheap at $ 5.25 but the lady warned me if I wanted gailan/Chinese broccoli, I would have to pay more than lunch special price. With all the construction workers that stop by at work with some being friends of the chef or regulars, it can get kinda loud in this dingy place, but that’s fine since it really reminds me of Hong Kong restaurants– even down to the sticky tables.
