I did a solo hike to Mount Lawlor from Red Box Ranger station. This is also one of the alternative ways to get to Strawberry Peak and considered the easy way there. The views are pretty awesome going up and the scramble up the rocks is fun. This is a less visited peak in the San Gabriel Mountains, but one of the Sierra Clubs«Hundred Peaks Section». I meet a nice pair of hikers Jim and I cant recall the other gentlemen’s name that lead me on the right path. The trail head is on the left side of the highway and you wont miss it. Great views, Great Hike, I highly recommend this easy hike!
