This new restaurant really seems to be struggling, so I will try to be as kind and merciful as humanly possible in my review. I am happy to report that the quality of the food here is perceptibly high. We ordered the Dry Noodle with Beef in Special Sauce and Pork & Leek Boiled Dumplings. Based on their doughiness, we concluded that the dumpling skins and noodles were clearly hand-made, and not commercially produced. *Thumbs up*. Although the dumplings were satisfying, at $ 6.99 for 10, they were not competitively priced(considering LaoXi offers 15 – 16 for $ 6.75). Additionally, I would strongly suggest to the restaurant that they include soy sauce and sesame oil in their condiment trays — which, during our visit, only contained black vinegar, chili sauce, salt, and pepper. This limitation adversely affected the enjoyment potential of the dumplings. *Thumbs down*. Similarly, although the noodles were not bad overall, the heavy presence of black pepper may have been a bit too much. *Thumbs down*. Parking spaces are plentiful in the rear. *Thumbs up* Customer seating is reasonably comfortable, even for extended durations. *Thumbs up*. The level of service was somewhat on the absentee side, but no more so than your average Chinese restaurant. *Shrug*. After taking care of the check, I apparently received a 12% promotional discount, due to submitting payment via cash. *Thumbs up*. The work of art on the wall to our right was truly terrifying(see attached photo), and posed many questions that I probably don’t want the answer to. Why did the family appear to be sleeping on concrete blocks? Why does the father appear to be clutching what is ostensibly a murder-suicide letter? Why does the dog lack *eyes*? But I digress. All things considered, I would be open to returning here to try out their other menu items. The BBQ chicken wings in particular look utterly delicious.
