I was excited to see this new shave shop open in the Westfield Santa Anita mall! All things needed for men’s grooming — everything from shaving accessories to facial lotions, aftershaves, etc. pretty cool stuff and great for

Total Rip Off! Prices are way too high for what they say is attributed to the quality of their products. They are not any better (IMO) than Razorock, Taylor of old Bond street, Paraso ect. Just simply over priced. I have been a wet shaver (DE & SR) for a while. The Art of Shaving is for the newbie/​sucker to wet shaving who has never heard of
if you are looking for the best shaving experience do research, read, ask questions and don’t buy from The Art Of Shaving.

We bought a $ 50 chrome razor that did not work since the first time it was used. My husband took it back and store employee said they will not return it because it may be the blade that does not work and they do not have any in stock to replace at this time. She said they only return items in their original condition (not used or opened), but not defected products. OMG what a place!!!

These shaving stores are popping up more and more these days and what I would consider to be a hipster store. Anyways, last night while I was at the Santa Anita Mall, I happen to see this place and decided to walk inside. I would describe this place like a Bath and Body Works store, but for men. At this store, you can find plenty of great products for all of your shaving needs.
Upon entering the store, we were greeted by a female employee (She was the only one working last night when we came in around 8:30 pm). She was very friendly and explained the products and kits. There is also a current promotion going on with any customized set, you can get an additional 20% off. I wished I had gotten her name because she was really nice and friendly and also quite helpful. She also provided a few samples of their best sellers for my husband to try.
Their products are definitely high end, which comes at a rather high price tag. A customized set could cost about $ 300, depending on what items you pick. But to make a customized set, you can choose the razor or razor handle (they use gillette razor blades), pre shave oil, shaving cream, shaving brush and after shave balm. There are also some premade sets available as well (some at lower costs and some higher).
Although the prices are rather high, I would shop here for my husband or to buy a gift for my male friends and relatives. It is really a challenge to find a gift for a male that he will actually use and I think a gift from here would be greatly used and appreciated.
One thing though that is missing from this store is a chair for a fresh shave and/​or facial. But their location in Glendale (at the Americana) does have a chair where you can make an appointment to have one (the employee helping us informed us of this option). You can also purchase a gift cart/​certificate in case you are not sure what to get the male in your life a gift from here and let him pick out something for himself (or even go to Glendale and schedule an appointment to get a nice clean shave).

This was a tough one to review.
The service was GREAT — Five stars. But I have to drop the stars a bit lower and expectations of every other Art of Shaving stores I have been too (over 6) was not meant.
Walked in to discover they did not have a chair up front for a fresh shave, which I was guna treat my brother in law too. I took my brother here to pick up his first essentials, and myself to buy a straight razor, as I have been using a replaceable razor I bought from th company a year or two ago. Too my surprise, this store does not carry any straight razors … Ugghh, disappointed, and loss of an easy $ 150 to $ 200 sale. = (
Going back, I would repeat that the service by Jordan was great as he was able to provide great information to my brother shopping for some new items. On top of that, I was able to meet the store manager, Beth, and share my experience at another store previously which she went above and beyond to assure that I was taken care of and apologized for my previous experience at another location.
All in all, I stocked up on some shaving cream, my brother was able to pick up a few items, and customer service was great.
Just wish they had a chair with service and they actually stocked straight razors.
