Best burgers around on the weekend. You get a decent sized burger with a small side of potato or pasta salad and a pickle spear… can’t beat it for $ 5 bucks and it’s deeeelicious!

Rolling in around 2:00 on a Friday afternoon it was open with a few bikes out front. It’s smaller inside with a patio on the side. The bartender told me they generally get around 300 bikes rolling in a day on the weekends. They only serve food Thursday nights and on the weekends. I was there on a Friday(and had held off eating so I could sample the menu for you) so I had some popcorn; free of charge. But if you’re rolling in outside of those food times grab some roadkill cuz they aren’t cookin’. If you’re riding from the coast, take Hwy 72, not 70. It’s more scenic with a couple more curves. If you’re ridin’ from down south come up Hwy 661. It’s not long but there’s some good corners. And in this part of the country you should take every corner you can get.

The Open Road Bar & Grill is one of my must-stop destinations when I am out for a ride. Good atmosphere, a great friendly biker bar. They have a pretty good beer selection(Guinness) and a full licquor bar. The owners are two of the greatest people I have ever met. The first day I met them they even helped me out when my girlfriends bike broke down 10 miles up the road. Rick hooked up a trailer, drove me down and grabbed the bike for us until we could get it home. It doesn’t get much nicer than that.
