Mr Chavies is the real deal! I’ve studied with him for over 8 years now and I could never be more happy. Ive studied different martial arts over half of my life and Ed Parkers American kenpo is the complete fighting system especially when the system is being tought by his #1 protégé Mr Tommy Chavies. Mr Chavies teaches the system the Parker way as it should be tought sets, forms, techniques, and fighting drills. You leave every class with sweet and most of all knowledge, I now am fortunate to have my two little boys train with him as well in the kids classes.

Mr. Chavies is among one of the best teachers I’ve ever had. He is the type of wise teacher that doesn’t spoon feed students, but pinpoints the way for hard-working, dedicated students. In addition, When he teaches Kenpo, he doesn’t only teach the techniques, but also the meanings while incorporating everyday life situations. Instructors, or Sensei, like him are very rare nowadays and I definitely would recommend anyone whether interested in martial art, or not to join his class because what you get out of it is not only physical fitness, but also character shaping values that goes a long way in life.

Mr. Chavies is an excellent teacher, but what he is good at isn’t just teaching karate but caring about the community and your child. He takes an interest in knowing the families, supporting the community that supports him, and helping your child. I would recommend the program without hesitation.
