I found the staff to be attentive, friendly and informative. Ambience was nice and unpretentious. Good selection of Dead Milkmen and Crime.

This store was okay. I found that their records and CDs were a bit overpriced compared to what I’m used to, though(but I am from the east coast, so who knows?). The employee was nice and the selection was decent — though I could not find Mojo Nixon(or The Dead Milkmen — these are my test bands for any record or CD store).

I give Peoples Records 4 stars because they have the guts to run an independent record store in this day and age. There are not many stores like this left. More power to them. If your ever in Arcata, support the local record store, because they do the right thing. Peace. Thanks for listening.

This was the first record store I ever went to as a child — and I will forever remember going to this place on a part of the Arcata plaza that would often hurried past to thumb through records and staff at the age of 11.

a quiet little shop where the staff is friendly, and you will have no trouble finding something cool that fits into you budget. People’s quickly became my favorite record shop in Arcata because I could browse in peace, and they always had something for me. The staff is cool, helpful, and unpretentious. Plus being on a tight budget as a college student, they kept me in the cool sounds.
