I can’t believe I’ve never reviewed Redwood Yogurt! I’ve been coming here since I was just a little kid, and it’s one of the things I miss most about home. Redwood Yogurt ruined all other frozen yogurt shops for me because nothing even comes close to the crunchy handmade waffle cones or the seasonal pumpkin fro-yo. The owner is a really cool guy too, super nice and great with kids. I do wish he would get that old piano tuned though.

I’ve been returning to this house of the best frozen yogurt EVER for 20 years. Scott makes the most luscious waffe cones fresh all day. I was so happy to learn the other day that he now makes Gluten Free waffle cones as well. Where can you find that? If you’re ever in town and have a sweet tooth, Redwood Yogurt is the spot, rain or shine. Thanks Scott!

This is the place to go if your craving something sweet. I have been coming here for about 10 years now and they never disappoint. The owner of the shop is very friendly and bends over backwards to help customers. I came here with a large group and he opened shop an hour early just for us. Talk about awesome service! Their frozen yogurt is always creamy and delicious, by far better than ultimate yogurt down the street. Will definitely be back!

You can get almond milk frozen yogurt here! It’s the best. There are many ice cream stores in Humboldt County, and this is my favorite. It’s local and quirky and delicious. Last night we called at 8:30PM to see when they closed, and the answer was«oh, maybe 15 more minutes.» I love that! They accept credit card too, which is a plus. When they didn’t, I went in without cash, got my ice cream and realized I couldn’t pay — the owner said, just come back later. I don’t think you’d find that at a chain! :) YUM!

Never been a fan of «FroYo» however I cant seem to get enough of Redwood Yogurt’s non dairy almond milk vanilla. I have recently come to terms with the fact that dairy and I shouldn’t be friends anymore… pretty depressing. But this almond milk vanilla really fills the void!

I love this place. I’ve been coming here for over 20 years. It was a staple when I was in elementary school, we’d have after/cast parties on closing night of the school plays and all us kids would get frozen yogurt. I was just in the other day and felt compelled to write a review, since sites like Unilocal didn’t exist back when I was frequenting this place more often. My recent experience was the same as I remember as a kid. Great yogurt at a reasonable price(though I doubt I cared so much about the price as a kid), yogurt that’s so good that they only need two to three flavors at any given time. There’s still a piano that patrons can play, and it’s a very kid-friendly environment. I love that Revolution Bicycles moved-in next door(I was not a fan of Lemon Cycle, I mean Life Cycle, that was there before). That way when I’m done bombing down trail 6 or 13 in Redwood Park, if I need something for my bike, I can«recharge» with a ‘cone afterwards. :)

The vanilla frozen yogurt is ALWAYS on the menu and is 100% vegan, and you’d never tell by tasting it. Great spot to bring kids. Cheap prices. Always a different set of flavors, from tart berry to tiramisu. Biodegradable cups or a freshly made waffle cone. Even the coffee is delicious, i usually get a coffee oreo shake, YUM! Wonderful art to look at, posters for all the cool up and coming local shows, and a piano to jam on. This place rocks.

Play the piano, relax on the couch, drink your cappuccino, and enjoy the comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. North town feels like the heart of Arcata. Redwood yogurt is a place where kids are welcome and honored. Find out what is happening locally from all of the fliers listing local events. This is the place to be. Skip the icky plaza yogurt shoppe and come here. This yogurt tastes better too.

Best yogurt in town by far. Friendly and helpful service and a nice place to sit and hang out. This is where the people/families who are conscious about what they are eating go. I try to get to Redwood Yogurt as often as I can.

Coolest 2 man staff, they can list the ingredients for any possible food allergies you have and they ALWAYS have new flavors. They also have gluten free topping options, along with vegan yogurt options!

This is the best, screw ultimate yogurt for trying to jack redwood yogurt’s business!

Best yogurt in Humboldt County hands down. Creative flavors and delicious homemade waffle cones hit the spot. Not overpriced either.

The best frozen yogurt I’ve ever had! There are daily specials, my favorite being ‘almond joy’ a mix of chocolate and coconut yogurt covered in slivered almonds. The fresh peach yogurt and pumpkin pie yogurt are also fantastic. The owner pours the batter into a waffle iron right in front of you, and you can have your cone as soft or crispy as you like! Minus one star for sporadic store hours, it’s never open when I drive past. Also, does not accept debit/credit cards.

Still one of my favorite places in town to get yogurt. They have really weird hours, but I love this place when they are open.

Suck it, «Ultimate Yogurt.» This town ain’t big enough for two yogurt places and this one’s got my vote. It’s an Arcata legend and it better not go anywhere. The yogurt is always great, the guy who owns and runs the place(I still don’t know his name…) is friendly and passionate and even gave me fro-yo on the house once. Also, the atmosphere is wonderful. There’s always kids running around or college students hanging out or couples on dates. There’s an eclectic set of chairs and tables and couches, community event flyers on the walls, local art… It’s like everything you want in a healthy community rolled up into one awesome yogurt shop. PS, try the pumpkin yogurt. It’s breathtaking.

A-OK. Sorta. I didn’t like any of the frozen yogurt options the one and only time I went to Redwood Yogurt. We got chocolate and mango in waffle cones. I would have enjoyed a sample of either, but it didn’t taste very good beyond a small amount. I got sick of eating the chocolate froyo and wasn’t interested in eating my boyfriend’s mango. However, I thought the waffle cones were perfectly made — crispy and dense(not soggy). I would go back to Redwood Yogurt once to give another flavor a try. Perhaps I’ll ask for a smaller(or child’s) size next time.
