Humboldt’s not so best kept secret as you will see a few billboards advertising Holly Yashi from the freeway. I bought 5 pairs of earrings, they are so unique and cute! I love how they are all handmade in store. The service was great, was offered a cappuccino while I browsed and the store clerks are all very friendly and attentive. A great experience while in Arcata!

We made a special trip on our vacation to stay in Arcada just so I could go shopping there. Beautiful place and so much to see. A few suggestions, turn the heat down very warm in store, list things on sale in the store that are on sale on the website. I will be shopping on line again.

Such cute jewelry and gift type items. I come here to buy gifts for all the women I know– the perfect one-of-a-kind items for the person that you don’t know what to buy for. The jewelry is such high quality– their earrings are the only ones I’ve found that don’t irritate my ears. The service is perfect. Not pushy, but helpful if you want it and they always offer you a free cappuccino– they even offered one to my teenage son when he went in to buy a gift for me, which I thought was sweet, because he obviously wasn’t going to be a big spender. :) The tour is fun, too!

This is a great place to get a gift for a female friend. I would recommend coming on a weekday at 11am for the free Guided Studio Tour. Be sure to bring your old Holly Yashi Jewelry so the store girls can clean it for you.

My wife is a fan of Holly Yashi earrings. She has been buying them for years at a store in Los Gatos. We have been coming to the Eureka/Arcata area for several years and until this trip were unaware that Holly Yashi jewelery is made in Arcata. We only found out when we saw some new billboards along highway 101 giving information about the store. Naturally, we had to visit the store. The store is adjacent to the factory where all the items are made. We visited the store on an Saturday; unfortunately the factory is only in operation on weekdays. At 11am on weekdays a factory tour is offered. Even though the factory was not in operation, someone gave us a demonstration of the way that niobium changes color when placed in salt water and electricity is passed through the water. The colors of Holly Yashi metals are intrinsic to the metal; they are not painted. They use niobium in their jewelry along with silver and gold. The niobium metal changes to various colors depending on the voltage that is applied to the salt water! There is a different color for each voltage. This is how they get the great colors in their jewelry. It was a great demonstration; part art and part science fair! The staff in the store is great. They provide personalized service helping with your selection, guiding you through the large collection of items, and also providing you a cappuccino to enjoy while you are shopping. For husbands like me, there is a couch on which to relax with newspapers and magazines to read while sipping your cappuccino, during the time your wife is shopping. We met Holly, who was a gracious host to her customers.

The welcoming atmosphere and beautiful gifts and jewelry made my visit here a joy. All staff was warm and genuinely pleasant. The complimentary cappuccino was delightful too. And I came away with a great pair of earrings! Thank you.

I stumbled across the Holly Yashi store and instantly fell in love. There are so many beautiful items that I always walk away with gifts for the whole family(myself included). Every corner is worth perusing. The stuff is supper friendly and even made me a cappuccino to enjoy while I shopped. This is definitely a must visit spot anytime you are in Arcata. I guarenty you will not be disappointed. Oh yeah, their prices are very reasonable as well which is always a big plus in my book.

I’ve been receiving and buying Holy Yashi jewelry for 20 years now and in my experience the craftsmanship and beauty is unparalleled. I love that I can wear most of my pieces dressed up or down and its always nice to get the compliments that go along with wearing Holy Yashi :)

If you are having trouble deciding on a gift for someone for any occasion, large or small, you need to visit the warm and inviting Holly Yashi Store! While there, you can enjoy an excellent cup of coffee or espresso, and you may even be fortunate enough to be guided in your shopping experience by Holly Hosterman or Paul Lubitz, Holly Yashi’s illustrious co-founders. The ever-changing gift inventory draws from Holly’s extensive research and travels, as well as customer suggestions. In today’s world of electronic greetings, I am also always impressed by the significant selection of greeting cards, where I can always find just the right card to express my thoughts. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the underlying sense of humor that is implicit in some of the store’s inventory — you’ll see what I mean when you visit. The Holly Yashi Store provides a unique retail gift shopping experience that I have seldom found anywhere else. I do not generally enjoy shopping, but I always leave the Holly Yashi Store a satisfied customer with a smile on my face.

This is the best place in Arcata, or anywhere in the county to buy great gifts for any occasion. It’s located at the factory so every conceivable design of their current jewelry line is available– plus they now carry some things only sold at the store. I don’t think the prices are out of line for the quality of the merchandise. The staff is really cool, and doesn’t pressure sales. Plus they offer free espresso or lattes every day.

I have been buying Holly Yashi jewelry for years, but it was a treat to visit their store. It is perfectly decorated for the personality and aesthetic of the company and the employees are very friendly(they even offered me hot chocolate and coffee while I shopped). What I liked most was that I could see where the jewelry is designed and handcrafted in their shop connected to the store. The fact that Holly and Yashi were both in the store added to the personal quality of this local company that has such a broad range of customers. Visiting the store is now my favorite way to purchase Holly Yashi jewelry and it is a great place to stop if you are in the area!

Wow, I love this place. So many neat home décor things that Holly herself likes and her home is decorated with it. Plus, her handmade jewelry is so fabulous. I have bought many earrings as gifts, but this time, I bought myself a pair with Christmas GC They also serve cappucino while you shop. BUT, it is good coffee, but dang strong so watch it! I was really hyper… more so than normal, after consuming the strong cup of joe. Her earrings and necklaces are unique, one of a kind designs that are sure to please even the pickiest women! I personally don’t like it when people buy me earrings and stuff, I like to pick my own. So, good choice on the gift certificate. The only drawback in the store is the heater is turned up way too high and our weather in the North Coast has been like Hawaii lately… so they need to turn down the heat. I am glad she has her own store. It is big and has many things. Cool stuff for kids too. A great place.
