Beer, cheese and bread all day! Delicious all around.

We had heard such good things about this place and were really hoping to love it. Sadly though, it was a below average experience mainly based on food. Service was decent. The beers were not very good — too sour or hoppy for the most part. I know they change their beers regularly so maybe we caught a bad day. The food was underwhelming — no free bread for the table?! Each plate of bread is $ 3.5 which seems high for a few slices of cold bread which was not very good and butter. The cheese plate was underwhelming — the cheese was really good but there was no range and the cuts were tiny. And a tiny amount of extremely crusty bread with it. You are forced to order more bread. All In all an underwhelming experience.

Made the over two hour pilgrimage as this brewery was listed as one of the top twenty in the US. I was not diappointed. Situated in what appears to be a historic bldg with lots of wood. Tap room is on two floors with a bar and seating on each. Food was over the top. Started with the pickle sampler which was recommended by our waiter. It was delicious with two styles of pickles and one beet. All were made in house. For the entrée I had the buffalo cauliflower pannini. It was fantastically cheesy and creative. Now for the beers, they were exceptional. All were great, no disappointment here. Service was also first class. Will be back.

I used to live down the street in college so my college best friend and I came to visit our old stomping grounds and were happy there was a brewery! Disclaimer: ALL of their foods come with WAY too much bread. We ordered the pickles: came with bread, we got cheese: more bread, and finally their only real meals are all bread heavy: panini, SOMUCHEXTRABREAD. In fact I’d go as far as to order your snacks SANS bread because there will inevitable be too much on the table and you could make sandwiches for 2 days with the leftover bread. Beers were interesting. Cool little spot, but wish the menu was different.

We made a trip from New York to the Philly area specifically for Tired Hands, and we were not disappointed. Aside from the fantastic beer selection, the food was amazing. We came for lunch and each had a panini and two beers, and left fully satisfied in every sense of the word. The service was fantastic, the atmosphere was perfect, the food was delicious, and most of all the beer was perfect. 110% worth the drive. We’ll definitely be coming back the first time we have a free weekend.

I’m no beer expert, but Tired Hands makes some damn good beer and food! The original foundry of Tired Hands has a cozy atmosphere, almost that of a ski lodge. The servers know their stuff and are very prompt and friendly! The beer selection changes daily and you can’t go wrong with any of their selection! Downside is there is no «tour» like that Yards, Victory, or Dogfish Head but it’s worth the trip! Be advised that there is no free parking around the building and you will get towed if you park in the employee lot!

Probably my favorite establishment on the mainline. Excellent, ever changing menu of craft beers that even the non beer drinker will surely enjoy. Highly recommend.

This is the hidden gem of craft beer in the area even though it is not much of a secret anymore. Their beer is amazing and the place is unique. This location is more dedicated to picky food and the beer. If you want a full meal go down the street to the fermentaria. The beer is world class and some of the best in the state. A must go for any craft beer enthusiast and those who just like great tasting beers.

Tried to order three, 4 ounce pours to create a beer flight and was told I could only order one beer at a time because«they want patrons to enjoy one beer at a time.» Um, are they serious? I’m a Som and wanted to compare taste profiles. I guess I’ll take my $$$ elsewhere. What a disappointment.

What can I say about Tired Hands that hasn’t already been said, this is the must go to spot in Ardmore, I would consider this the«gem» of Ardmore. I’ve been to this spot so many times I can’t count, the beer is amazing, hands down the most unique, different, and funky beers on tap, this spot is great! Owned by Jean, whom I have met at a bar in Philly, really down to earth, nice guy, even got some pictures with him. Before I even came to Tired Hands, I never even heard about it, I think it was back in ’13 that I heard about it and I had to Google where it was and took a ride out there. From that point on my mind was blown from the variety of different experimental and funky the beers were, its such a great spot in a great location, and the Brew Pub is such a quaint spot with such a «chill» atmosphere. Another reason that we come here is for the different beer releases that change ever so often, there is always something different on tap and majority of the time you can get a growler filled, I would suggest grabbing a growler(glass) for 5 $ and the pours vary depending on what you want. Another great thing I like about them is that they offer their beers in 4, 8, and 16oz pours, and even if you want a taste they do that too. I love the food they serve, it isn’t some high end entrée, but just enough to fill your stomach from the house made bread to the meat & cheese plates from local farms, you just can’t get enough from this place. Their paninis are awesome they are always changing and they mustard and pickles they serve with are just as great, they’re not your average sides, everything is fresh and I believe house made. If you’re really looking for a great spot and ever better beer, you have to try this spot out, odds are you will be back and possibly leave with a growler or two of some really good beer that you can only find at Tired Hands, my suggestion is get there a few hours after they open odds are you will get a seat, and I’ve been here for many releases and still always get a seat even on the weekends. I would add them on IG and Facebook to see what they’re releasing that week and I can almost guarantee that it will be something that will make your palate go crazy! Check them out and enjoy, cheers!

We went to Ardmore on a whim. We were recommended Tired hands by some locals. I have to say my wife and I haven’t had that much fun tasting beers at a bar, ever! I recommend drinking your way down the menu 4oz at a time. Also, get the candied bacon and the cheese plate.

After trying the fermenteria down the street we had to give the brew pub a try too. Much different atmosphere, it’s more like a pub and more cozy. The menu is mostly panini’s but they were delicious. Don’t forget about the candied bacon — amazing! We will definitely be back again.

I have been waiting to review Tired Hands because I wanted to keep tasting more and more beers. I came to realize and understand that most of the beer are delicious and I like most of the offerings on tap when I visit. The experimental curiosity of the brew master produces some pretty awesome beers. The food they produce is average, but I would recommend the candied bacon — who doesn’t like bacon! I feel they could warm up a little, the service was polite, but not friendly and it could be quicker. Note: The beers are pricey, so it you are coming to taste — trust me you will enjoy — just bring enough money.

I’m not one for hipster spots, but this place is great! Awesome panini’s and awesome beer! The sweet Lebanon Bologna panini is great and so is the roast beef. Get an order of the spicy pickles and the bread! Worth it!

I’ve visited and reviewed 105 brewpubs(not brewery tasting rooms) from around the world and Tired Hands is probably my #2 place after Wicked Weed in Asheville, NC. Tired Hands’ beer is all off-the-wall experimental. They produce a staggering amount of new beer each month. With so many beers, the quality can suffer at times. But when they hit a home run, we are talking some of the best beers on earth in the same league as Hill Farmstead, Tree House, Russian River, and Sante Adairius. This is their original brewpub location, which offers two stories of tavern like seating and a small menu of absolutely outstanding paninis served with their exquisite homemade sourdough bread with homemade butter, sel gris, and fennel pollen. Always delicious. Panini menu usually has a few new options each visit. We’ve tried everything on the menu now over the past 15+ visits: cheese plates, tomato salad with mozzarella/crème fraîche, duck prosciutto, homemade pickled vegetables. Always outstanding. I’ve been fortunate enough to chat with the brewmaster Jean a few times, and he even graciously donated a bunch of beer to a ratebeer festival we held back in the day. I was dumbfounded by that generosity. Sometimes I wonder why I am standing in the snow at 8am in front of this place for a special release bottle… each release has been so outstanding beer quality-wise, that it was probably worth it.(ducks)

Went to tired hands brewing today for the first time. It was pretty crowded for a Sunday afternoon a mixed crowd of hipsters and families with young children. Had a seat upstairs where there was more room to breathe and started looking over the beer menu. Sampled a few of the brews and one thing is for sure, tired hands has some major cajones. The beers are bold, pungent, and very different then what you will find at other places, even other microbrews. The fiancé ordered the cask which is a black lager with chili powder and it was really spicy. A strange mix having a refreshing cool beer that’s very hot.. good for a 4oz pour but not much more than that. Tried the minnow ipa and it was like being punched in the face with flavor. Essentially the beers are really creative and out of the box but it was more difficult to find a drinkable beer you could down a few pints of to pass time on a rainy summer Sunday. We got there around 3pm and they were already out of the candied bacon which was a disappointment. Let’s not kid ourselves who wouldn’t be sad about that :(The food we did get was really solid. We ordered the bat(bacon/arugula/tomato) and the quesadini; both paninis totally hit the spot. Service was friendly enough, but a little on the slow side — that kind when you get your food and drinks promptly and then feel a little forgotten about afterwards. Apparently, the taps get rotated on a weekly basis. Will definitely be back to try some of these crazy brews.

A beer lovers microbrewery, Tired Hands offers some of the best and most unique beers around, along with a delicious menu of food options. Thank god I live close enough to this place to walk but not close enough that I’m tempted to come here everyday. Tired Hands is not only the best place to get microbrew beer but one of the best places to eat in Ardmore. This location is the original location(not to be confused with the Fermentaria a few blocks away) with an upstairs and downstairs bar. The word is definitely out about the place since it always seemed crowded in the evenings. The interior can be described only as immensely hipster — chalk boards, cozy, Kurt Vonnegut references, the full works. It goes without saying that the beer here expertly crafted and not your typical assortment. This is definitely a beer lovers brewery, with small batches of different flavors made monthly and a tasting list that reads like a wine tasting list. They don’t sell flights here but you can 4oz pours for $ 2 – 4, which is so much better. You can easily taste most of the beers on the menu, my favorites being the Yup(honey blonde with a little bit of hops aftertaste) and the SaisonHands(saison, solid slightly sour beer). As if the beer wasn’t good enough, Tired Hands offers a wide selection of food options, from cheese plates to pickles to paninis. I’ve had the Jackie Raabinson Panini($ 12.50) and the Peppery Dills($ 5.00). A sucker for a good pun, the Raabinson is a take on the classic pork and broccoli rabe hoagie, and they pull it off in a massive(as in split with two people) panini. The peppery dills are spicy dill pickles served with bread and butter with salt on the side. The spicy pickles are ideal for spice lovers, with the initial pickle taste hitting first then the spicy after burn. The bread, butter and salt enhance the flavor and help cancel out the spiciness(the bread tastes homemade). Overall, this is my favorite place in Ardmore(tired) hands down. You can’t go wrong with either location, but if you want the full cozy bar with a dash of hipster, the original brewing company is the place for you.

Our favorite brews of the trip so far! They have a wide variety of styles, but what was most impressive was that they have a growler trade-in option, so no matter whose growler you bring in, you’ll walk out with one of theirs. Man, if all breweries could adopt this policy, it would be wonderful. Atmosphere is a bit dark, and i can imagine it getting really packed, but fortunately, we were there late, and there weren’t many people there.

Overall I enjoy the intimate vibe of this place, even though I’m told there’s a larger facility somewhere close by. I went on a Saturday afternoon, and while there was a crowd there, it was nowhere near packed. I’ve also been told that the crowd can sometimes get out of hand, and judging from their space, I wouldn’t want to be packed in here like a sardine. Their beers are good in general, but also somewhat hit or miss. The overwhelming majority of their beer menu is saisons, which pleases me, but I can see others being very disappointed. Ultimately you’re at the mercy of their tap, which can change at a moment’s notice, so if you go in expecting a specific beer there’s a good chance you will be out of luck. Honorable mention goes to their brew called Dudholio, which is comprised of corn. Our waitress put it perfectly when she said it was a tasty version of a bad beer. It’s like something you’d drink at a frat party, just a lot easier on the palate. It made me nostalgic. Sure they’re just a brewing company, but I was disappointed in their food selections. None of it sounded appealing, or even like it would at least pair well with the beer. I ended up getting the candied bacon though and was definitely not disappointed. Their candied bacon is a sinful treat, and very filling to boot since their bacon is thick cut. I would go back to this place, but nothing about it truly wowed me to the point I would make the close to 40 minute trek out of my way to get there. It’s just a solid brew pub, so it comes with the good and the bad.

My boyfriend is a huge beer fanatic, homebrewer to the max. We came here on his suggestion while we were in Philly for the weekend. There was ample parking in the parking lot right outside the bar. When we arrived, the place was packed to the max and we were told it would be about an hour wait. The beer that I had, was great. My boyfriend actually planned to purchase a growler from here so he could use the yeast in his homebrews. He knows a few people who have done this and have had great success. We weren’t able to taste their food, because after the hour we decided to head to iron hill to try a new place. However we liked the beers that they did have. This place loses a star because I do think they could do a better job with seating and getting people drinks. I know they are doing their best to manage their space but i think they could incorporate maybe just.some.more seating along the walls. It was quite crowded and awkward to move around.
