Quite an improvement from the previous pizzeria, even though the shopping center parking lot is awful. Slyce has more to offer than just basic pizza. Their pies are delicious, especially the fig and honey. They also feature craft beers and wines, setting them apart from other places in the area. A great upgrade from a pizzeria.

Well, I guess it’s ok, but it was far from memorable. We ordered the plain cheese and also sausage. Not really planning to go back as there are other places around that have better pizza.

Excellent spot. The half moon calzones are not to be missed. The crust is so light and the seasonings inside the ricotta & mozzarella cheeses are just so tasty. I’ll usually add meatballs or sausage to them. Fried calamari is a great way to start things off. Their wedges are really good(we like the Rustico(chicken cutlet) & the Melanzane(eggplant). Good pizzas, good entrees, quality beer & wine list.

My wife and I just moved to the area and were exicted to find a cool pizzaria that delivers. We’ve ordered twice from Slyce and each time was terrible. Being overpriced and having long delivery times both can be overlooked if the pizza was good, but unfortunately it is not.

Nice décor and good tap list. But, $ 4 for a slice of cheese, damn, that is too expensive. Di Fara they are not. Take it down to $ 3 flat for a plain slice so the everyman can eat here.

Lose the attitude!!! I’ll start by saying I find that the food at Slyce, while good, is overpriced. Ironically a place called Slyce refuses to take orders for slices over the phone. This past Sunday we were a told they would not sell any slices at all because they had«run out» and so we needed to purchase an entire pie or an expensive individual pizza for our 9 old. Slyce fashions itself a restaurant and does not want to be confused with a Pizzeria. So be prepared to wait if you want one slice. They would rather not sell it to you. The thing that is most troubling is the young lady who works behind the counter with dark hair with the horrible attitude. I am pretty certain her father is one of the owners and EVERY time we have been there she has a horrendous attitude and acts like she is doing us a favor. She is incredibly smug. Enough that we will not return unless we have no other options and enough for me to post on Unilocal.Which I never do.

Worst parking lot, terribly expensive, food was served cold. I preferred this before it was Slyce, it was a much better pizzeria and restaurant.

After living in the area for eight years I resided to the fact that the best pizza in the area was probably the mediocre pizzeria in Hartsdale by the train station… but then I «found» Slyce. After reading the Unilocal!reviews I was immediately skeptical. Many of the reviews seemed fake and came off way too positive. I held off for a few months until my neighbor recommended them. The slice they offer is very good — best in the area in my opinion. They are also really large — a true slice. When you get a pie, the slices are not as large but the quality is still there. Parking is convenient. Staff is friendly and they offer waiter service… they are definitely more than just a pizzeria. Great selection of Italian specialties and drinks. I haven’t tried anything but the pizza and salad. Service can be slow. I highly recommend you make a reservation or call ahead to order your pie.

It’s so sad to see any review other than a 5 star for this place. We as a community need to support local or the likes of Papa John will invade our community!!! Be positive people and support your neighbors! This place is fantastic! It’s new and clean interior is nothing to complain about! Their pizza is fantastic and rustic but sophisticated! I absolutely love this place and how they treat my wife and I went we eat in. Thank you guys! Keep up the great work!

Cool ambiance, great beer, and awesome pasta(and what looks like great pizza). We got the Broccoli Rabe to share as well as an Arugula Salad with shaved Parmesean — the white Balsamic was amazing. Not sure how I feel about the Rabe being diced up, since i like the way it soaks up all the flavor and makes a big mess, but it sure is easier to eat that way. We shared the Rigatoni Vodka… which to be honest was some of the best Vodka sauce i’ve had in the Valley. You know how sometimes its«over sauced» but theres no basil or flavor? Well at Slyce it is perfectly sauced with awesome flavor. More than enough to split between two if you share a nice little starter. I haven’t even had Italian out since we moved down to Dobbs Ferry, but i was impressed by the food. Most places around Westchester are contrived with overwhelmingly boring stuff(with the exception of Lombardos in White Plains — that place is awesome too). I’ll be sure to grab another beer and some pizza next time we stop by.

I really like the pizza and food at Slyce but when I went in last night at around 9:30 you guys didn’t have any slices and I was told by the girl at the counter I could order a pie instead. How can you call yourself Slyce when 90 minutes before you close there are no slices available? I could understand if I went in at 10:45pm and there was none left cause they had sold the last of the night but 90 mins before closing? It can’t be a food cost issue, 1 slice is $ 4, how much could it cost to make a whole cheese pie $ 3?

I bought a Groupon for Slyce and then forgot about it until I realized it was about to expire. So I took a look at Unilocal to see what I bought and was horrified with what I read… ran out of basics, 1 hour wait for pizza being delivered to the table, people being intimidated by their bill being on paper instead of it being verbal and poor service. What had I gotten myself into? Well when my wife and I arrived at Slyce we found the exact opposite! Except for a salad that could have been better, everything about our dinner was great! An attractively decorated, casual location with a friendly staff serving(in a reasonable amount of time) fantastically produced Artisan Pies at very non intimidating prices. We will return.

Previous ciccones old school Italian joint now switched to be more modern. They should’ve stated old school ! Went in with my brother for lunch. menu says soup, whole pie or slices, drinks. Soooo.no soup made today, can’t buy Sicilian by the slice and no regular coffee… never again. If you don’t have it or if not served than don’t have it on the menu!

I never liked pizza really, but this is not the reason why I am giving slyce 3 stars. The place received a lot of great reviews, and when I saw the deal I’m groupon, I didn’t hesitate to buy it and drive to Ardsley knowing I’m getting a good deal. Now, I work in a restaurant, and have worked in different places with different cuisines, and On top of that, I love food. So, call me hard to please, but simple rule of thumb, it’s not the quantity, it is the quality. For take out: I ordered the meat lovers pizza, just a small one, and for $ 19, I’d think it’s worth it, and the flamed wings marinated in Rosemary with sautéed onions, I got ecstatic. Something different. But my excitement didn’t last too long. As soon as I opened the box when I got home, there’s this massive, like 16 inches in diameter pizza in front of me. Apart from the extra saltiness in it, the crust is somewhat soggy, not too thin or thick, a few pepperonis, meat etc. and the chicken wings, doesn’t look so appetizing. You can taste the hint of rosemary and a few sautéed onions, but did it really work? The place though looks neat and the staff seemed to be nice, at least the lady in the counter. there is a private parking lot and it’s conveniently located in The heart of Ardsley. If I live in Ardsley, I’d say this place is a must go, but I don’t and I don’t think I’d go out of my way.

Went for dinner recently via Groupon. Was not particularly happy with the experience. I’m a firm believer of when you dine in, dining in orders should always take priority. This is because we pay the staff tips-subsidizing the service that the owner doesn’t have to pay. Three pizzas around 6:30 take more than an hour to make due to the fact that the system tells the person to make orders as they trickle in rather than changing the queue to emphasize pick up sales. Perhaps this is where the owners think their bread and butter really are-but waiting over an hour as a dine in customer when the tables are not full should say all you need to know about this establishment’s desire to have you come in the same way. It is a shame because the food was very good. Before posting this review I did send an email to see if they’d respond. I didn’t expect anything but a we are sorry that our service wasn’t up to par that night. Nope, no response. Bad customer service all around. I don’t care how busy they are-it isn’t a question of empathy or a lack of sympathy. If you know you’re going to be that busy on a Tuesday night, for instance, you have a second person making the pizzas on a Tuesday Night. If there isn’t enough room in the oven, you need to eventually get a bigger oven. Restaurants when they grow need to make these upgrades or have frustrating situations for their customers. As I said, the food was very good. I might give this place a second chance, but I’m not in a rush as there wasn’t a rush to respond to my complaint. Now there might be a response since it is public. Since I don’t see myself going in again for a long time, because without upgrades to the restaurant, such as another person making pizza, or a larger oven, this problem cannot be corrected, especially when online ordering seems to be emphasized(via owner response below). Otherwise, one would have to order before arriving at the restaurant, which is unacceptable.
