Java Primo is a gem tucked away in downtown Arkadelphia. As a native of the town, I was thrilled to see that a coffeeshop — ANY coffeeshop — was coming to town, but this has truly become my favorite spot in all of Arkadelphia. There’s an impressive food and drink selection. Breakfast is my particular favorite, as was the almond latte — until they stopped carrying almond syrup. The space itself is quite small, so there’s no real seating for large groups, and you can sometimes expect a wait at lunch. The staff is friendly, attentive, and the prices are quite reasonable(though I wish a la carte sandwiches were an option — I simply don’t need a side with every meal). It’s definitely worth a visit!

Wonderful relaxed atmosphere. Friendly service and delicious food and drinks. Try the fresh squeezed orange juice. A diamond in the rough, just a few miles off the highway

What a great find! I’m from Seattle and passing through. Wanted a good breakfast and good coffee and this place is a gem in the middle of nowhere. It’s just off the highway a few minutes.

Thanks to Unilocal,we found this delightful coffeehouse and café. It’s few minutes off of the interstate, but well worth the drive. We stopped there on our way from Indiana to Houston. On our way back to Indiana, we timed our eating so that we could stop for another meal. We were not very adventuresome. We got the same thing we got the first time, waterpine chicken salad(Romaine lettuce, spring greens, fresh watermelon and pineapple, feta cheese, sliced grilled chicken breast, dried cranberries, and chopped candied walnuts), with the house dressing. The dressing was special turning the salad into a gourmet delight. On our next trip through we will try something else. As reported in other reviews, the staff was very friendly. I purchased a bag of their coffee beans on both visits and was not disappointed.

Incredible find! I was so pleasantly surprised and impressed to find this place on a road trip through Arkansas. It is a small coffee shop type place that goes way beyond coffee. They offer a full breakfast, lunch and dinner offering including cocktails if you were to desire. They also have an amazing selection of gelato. The service was prompt and polite. Our food came out very quickly and was delicious. The interior has an amazing amount of attention to detail from the light fixtures to the custom made booth seating. Hard to put a finger on what makes the ambiance so wonderful but this place has it figured out. The entire restaurant was also very clean and the bathrooms had poo-pourri!

Cool little shop! The wife is a big Starbucks fan, and on the long road from Little Rock to Texarkana, there wasn’t one for a long stretch, and we both needed some coffee. So, we checked out Java Primo — cute space. Cozy, plenty of sitting room for a half a dozen small groups, but not big. Service was quick, efficient, and friendly, and our coffee came out piping hot. I thought my Regular Coffee was fantastic, plenty of driving fuel :) The Americano we also had was on the watery side, and both drinks came out *really* hot. But even so, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this is a quick coffee stop!

Cute restaurant and fresh food! I’ve eaten all over Arkansas and this is probably one of my favorite cafes. I had a portobello mushroom wrap with a tomato basil tortilla with a pasta salad.

Long time visitor of Arkdalephia and now current resident and have eaten food from Allen’s to Cracker Barrel in Caddo Calley and have honestly have never had a better experience with food or customer service than I have at Java Primo in the surrounding area unless it was home cooked. Today my wife and I split the Greek chicken wrap and gyro, and I am honestly waiting to go to sleep and wake up in the morning and can not wait till lunch again. I also recommend and will be partaking myself tonight the peanut butter pie.

Dinner menu is outstanding. Presentation and taste are excellent. I have never ordered anything after 4p that I didn’t thoroughly enjoy. I high recommend the salmon. The Greek pizza is tasty, but I leave off the purple onions– Lunch sandwiches would be better without lettuce. Soups are outstanding! Desserts and lattes and open till 10p is unusual for a small town! Thanks for that–

A little treasure in downtown Arkadelphia. I found a great new headband and tried lotions while browsing the shop while waiting for my yummy hazelnut latte to be made.

I was in town for a wedding for 4 days and I stopped by this little coffee house probably 6 times. the baristas always knew how to make my drink right. The shots were pulled right, and never let them die. So much better than the Starbucks in town.

I don’t usually give 5 stars but I like to take into account where I am as a contributing factor. This may not be a 5 star coffee shop in Atlanta, but I certainly didn’t expect to find this cool little shop in arkadelphia. It’s 5 star compared to most anything else in a 50 mile radius! Good coffee, tasty breakfast sandwich, reasonable prices, good atmosphere, lots of food and drink options, and a friendly staff. If I come back to arkadelphia I’ll be back!

We were on our way back to the Dallas metroplex on a Sunday afternoon and decided to stop in here for a light meal. I can’t speak to the negative review about the coffee since I didn’t order that, but I can say that the three of us enjoyed our sandwich meals and were very satisfied. I had a turkey on grilled sourdough bread, with a scoop of baked-potato salad. The bread was fresh and tasty and the sandwich had a good balance of meat to condiments. The potato salad was very good. I loved the repurposed old building with its partial brick walls and tin ceiling. The photo of the shop’s interior shown here doesn’t do justice to its charm. Each booth features an art-glass pendant light fixture, no two of which are alike in shape or color. There are plenty of funky little gift items to browse through while you wait on your meal. We’ve been to Arkadelphia four times(going and coming from Hot Springs), and eaten here and at Slim & Shorty’s. We were pleased with both places.

Haven’t found too many places like this in the area. The atmosphere is cozy, the food tastes great, ambience is fantastic. I can see this being a great place to bring work(although it’s a bit dim) and enjoy their endless coffee(which I haven’t tried, but looks like a good deal). They have breakfast food. And coffee. And beer. What else could you want?

A wonderful find on my first tip to the downtown area. The menu is extensive and offers something for every taste. Dishes are crafted from scratch recipes for sure. Order at counter and friendly staff will bring to your table. Ps. Save room for dessert!
