I’ve been going here since it opened in 1982(I think?) The food here has always been consistently good. Yes, I miss the original owners. But I don’t see any reason to ignore this place. It still has the charm. Yes, they are challenged by Egg Fu young. But all the other items on the menu deserve credit. Also, Florida style & Cajun seasoned dishes. This place can be a seafood powerhouse if you let it! Also, I rely on them for getting my veggie fix. Their chowmein/chop suey is just as good as any other place –and– they use a tasty gravy that I don’t see too many other«Chinese» places using anymore. Cheaper to use instant bullion gel cubes(yech!) It’s a nod of respect to the mom & pop Chinese places of yesteryear. And I notice that. (also, I noticed new chicken egg roll. Way to go!)

Good food run by non orientals. My son likes it. I use to order from there a lot about 20 years ago I remembered the oriental guy that use to own it and loved there food since he sold its never been the same. I miss that guy.

I ordered from here a bunch and most time they are on time with a normal driver. This time over two hours and nothing. When i called the first time i was told they where five minutes away they had a hard time finding my place. I waited ten minutes and called back and was put on indefinite hold. Maybe they should invest in a GPS or a Map so people can look where they are going.

i ordered from this place and was so so so disappointed. i had the mongolian beef, which was extremely fatty and chewy, almost to the point where it tasted inedible, and almost no vegetables to balance it out. i also ordered the egg foo young, which was bland at best. the standard gravy that comes with egg foo young(which i personally feel like is such an easy and traditional staple in chinese food, that i dont understand how you could get it wrong) was absolutely disgusting — i mean it was just gross, i could not bring myself to eat it. i feel a bit bad writing this post actually, im usually pretty open to giving correct and detailed judgement on food, but this restaurant was just so bad. the only positive was that the delivery was fairly fast.

My husband and I are new to the area, we were in the mood for Chinese so I thought I would Unilocal out some places. I liked what I had read, but definitely not what I just tried. The chicken fried rice was decent, although I had better. The orange chicken was the worst I have ate in my life. I had some and some of the«chicken» was not chicken. It was balls of that frying mix that orange chicken is covered with. I immediately threw it up. Besides being the worst it was definitely not worth the money. I paid $ 30 for a large orange chicken, a large chicken fried rice and some 4 crab Rangoons. Not worth it at all.

Ive had better chinese food but the food was ok. Their egg rolls are awesome, the wooton noodle soup is more noodles than broth. Curry shrimp tasted not so good, but the worst was their bbq pork with cashews wow that tasted soooooo funky that i threw it away. Their pineapple rice is kind of good. Ill probably try other restaurants before coming back here.

Over all I’d say bad food. The egg rolls were mediocre at best. The chicken fried rice was pretty good. The chicken almond ding was the worst I ever had, also had beef chow main that was not good at all. I would not recommend this place. Only tried it because Canton House is closed on Mondays. What a waste of my hard earned money. I recommend trying Canton House on central instead of this place.

They offer complementary soup(egg drop, shrimp gumbo & clam chowder). The egg drop soup was pretty good. I had the Beef Chow Fun and it was good. The prices are very affordable and the portions are huge. I plan to return

I tried this place for the first time last night, and while I did not experience the prior ownership I can tell you the«new» owners know what they’re doing. This will be our new go to Chinese delivery restaurant. We had Mongolian Beef and Chicken, Crab Rangoon, Egg Rolls, and Clam Chowder. All were terrific. I am happy to have found this place because there are too many bad options in the area.

To the new owners my review, First impressions. I can see change already exited to try it. Bonus! We got almond cookies, and new menu looks great! The egg rolls, very good. Crispy and hot. Just how I like them. I will have to admit the hot and sour soup wasn’t my fav but I’ll still try the other ones. I really enjoyed the sesame chicken. The crisp skin under the sauce was amazing! Same with the orange chicken! Yum yum yum!!! The Mongolian beef was great also! The beef was so tender and the sauce was delicious. The one thing I didn’t like was the egg foo young. It came without the sauce on it and this was a first for me. I was still eager to try it. I put the sauce on it and dove in. It ended up be being really hard and dry. Maybe the chicken was overdone? All in all the dinner was really good! We will be eating there again, wry eager to try the specials!

I have been a regular here for some time. Looks like new owners again. For us regulars, we have collected the little orange coupons, that where after placing 7 orders, you get a free combination appetizer platter. Now they won’t accept them. I always find the«new owner» excuse to be a little lame. Obviously, if I have 7 coupons, I must have been pretty darn loyal. Now, just for them to save a little, they have lost a regular customer. Adiós Chinese Munch In!

This brings me back to high school. And it’s probably been that long since I have last gone. This place is so good! They give you your own tea pot and massive portions for low prices. I remember having leftovers for a couple of days. My sister and I would love to come here and pig out. I hope things haven’t changed since then. I am ready to go back and relive memories!

I usually don’t try the chinese food next door only because it us never any good. But this place is amazing. The food was cooked perfect and seasoned just right. I ordered at the last minute an the food wasn’t mushy or ovea cooked. I will b back here. This food is the best.

Good old skool Chinese-American food.(To clarify, the stuff you get at your neighborhood carry-out place isn’t the same as what people eat in Hong Kong or mainland China). I’ve traveled through Asia and love authenticity, but this type of simple yet tasty cuisine really hits the spot. Ingredients at this restaurant seem to be of higher quality than normal. Some Chinese restaurants use subpar meat for their sweet and sour dishes since it’s breaded and not visible. Not at Chinese Munchin. The sweet and sour pork meat was tender and nonfatty. The fried rice was flavorful without being overly soy-sauced(i.e. salty) nor oily. My favorite dish here was their BBQ spare ribs appetizer. The dish was very meaty and tender. The BBQ sauce was a perfect blend of tang and sweet. Lo mein was disappointing for being overly wet or saucy, but that may be a personal preference. Also, I’ve had better egg rolls. Maybe they need to put more peanut butter in them(Yes, that’s what makes a good Chinese-American eggroll, but it may be a trade secret). Oh, and the cashier is kinda cute, so 4 stars!

Excellent choice for a Chinese food craving. The new owners did not change a thing, with the exception of better customer service! Prices, menu, delivery speed is all the same or improved. UPDATE: Open 7 days now! SWEET!

I like this place for a good take out lunch. The dining area is very small and usually full. They offer many lunch specials that are about $ 6.00 and include eggroll and fried rice. The food is above average, I like the Hong Sue Chicken, the sweet and sour chicken is good too.
