My wife and I were each referred here for very different issues. She went first and did not have a good experience. I figured, what could it hurt? My bad.

I was referred to Dr. Guthman’s office to see Dr. Faulkner, but Faulkner was booked up. After meeting with Dr. Guthman I was diagnosed with a kidney stone and scheduled a lithotripsy. Dr Guthman assured me he was good with the machine, and relief was a few weeks off. the procedure was a complete failure,(if you’ve had this before, you know what I mean), and I called his office the next day to let him know. I was told, through his asst., that results take weeks and they’d have me in for an xray in a month. In a month, I went in for my xray, there was my stone, untouched, unmoved. I recieved a call from his asst. again, and when she called she acted as if this was our first conversation saying I have a kidney stone, no memory of our last conversation. Dr. guthman suggested another lithotripsy(even though this would be my 4th on the same stone in as many years), rather than suggest going to someone else with a more aggressive approach. I am old enough and experineced enough to know when someone has gotten to the point where trying to impress a client or patient is less important than the paycheck. Dr. Guthman is at that point.

I was referred to Dr. Guthman from a friend with a similar prostate problem. My appointments were met on-time and my problem and course of treatment explained thoroughly. My problem was corrected through medications. Although surgery was an option, he did not push this method of treatment.
