Huang’s Trading Company

A fabulous surprise to be sure. The Huang’s are lovely, welcoming people, with a helpful staff. Once taken into the back room, I felt like I was in a beautiful cocoon of pearls… ahhhh! The finished pieces are well conceived and well priced. Bali silver is quite lovely also. I believe that they supply many items to the world’s museum gift shops, as well as having the best booth at all trade shows. I purchased three necklaces and three pairs of matching earrings. They are statement pieces and I receive many compliments.
Shu said to make a return for holiday shopping. I can only imagine the great gift ideas.

I’ve been going for twenty years. I am an serious amateur beader, meaning I make a lot of projects and I use higher end beads and findings. While I buy many of my findings and beads at bead shows where I can receive good prices, Huang Trading has excellent prices for both 14k and gold-​filled findings. They also have Bali and sterling silver findings.
In addition, the pearl prices are very good. There is a nice selection of other beads as well. They are not set up for retail per se, but it doesn’t bother me. Everything is clearly displayed and easy to look through. I like the people who work there.
I only go once a year when I am in town visiting family. It is worth a trip if you like to bead, know what to do, and are looking for good prices.
Last thing, they also sell completed jewelry, which is probably priced to sell. I am not there looking for that so I have not asked. Go when you have time to hunt around.
