This review is in regards to the jazzman’s café that is in the hospital on Roosevelt and 1st Avenue. It was my first time there and they have a self-service counter, I simply asked do we make our own coffee and the lady repeated yes everything is self serve. So I bought a regular coffee got a cup and saw the sign for the mocha new coffee they had. I asked the lady at the counter where that particular coffee was and she said this one we make behind the counter. I asked her if I can have that one and she repeated«ma’am you just said you wanted a regular coffee.» I repeated I thought it was Self Service, I wanted the mocha new one. She continued to correct me and tell me what I said instead of just simply making the coffee. After this conversation I told her again I just want this coffee I will pay the difference. She started huffing and puffing and trying to figure out how to charge me the difference and said«you owe me $ 2.54.» While trying to give her the money she never took it sit«wait now I have to figure out how to charge you.» After a few minutes I could not wait any longer and deal with this attitude I just said I will take the regular coffee grab my coffee and made it. At no time was she friendly apologized for her attitude or even helped me out to purchase my coffee. I thought this was your job I don’t understand!!! Worst customer service ever. I I’m here right now it is 8 am and that was the last thing I needed while picking up a sick loved one from the hospital. Thank you short black lady with no hair, you have a fabulous day too!

The best coffee in the hospital. The staff is always nice and friendly. If you are a regular, they have the cards where they mark down when you buy a coffee and every 10th coffee is free!

Hospital coffee shop? Sign me up! … said no one ever. … until me today. Located inside Northwest Community Hospital’s surgery wing(through entrance 2), this coffee shop and bakery was as decent a caliber as any Caribou Coffee ever was. Free wifi, plenty of seating, pre-made but still fresh sandwiches, DELICIOUS chocolate croissants, and damn fine caffeinated beverages and teas. I got a 20oz latte and two big chocolate croissants and my bill was around $ 7, which I thought was a great price considering all that at Starbucks easily would have run me over $ 12. There’s also a really nice outdoor area with some bench seating and a beautiful winding garden path. Honestly, this might be my favorite coffee shop in the area.
