I’m going with the majority of the reviews for Loft in Arlington Heights… not once did a sales clerk approach me & ask if I needed help… while I don’t like to be pressured, I expect to be acknowledged with a «hello» especially if I’m going to be spending money… sure, the clothes are super cute but you know the cliché, ugly on the inside, ugly on the outside… I won’t be stepping foot into this location again… I get more attention shopping online by myself… shame on you …

5 stars overall. Fantastic staff!!! They will assist me in selecting an outfit and give me their thoughts and ideas. This location has a great selection, specifically for petite sizes. They always have everything out on the floor as soon as they get it in and the store is very organized. The only negative is the parking HOWEVER, if you park underground you can take the stairs right to the front of the store!

I love shopping here and get many compliments on their clothes! However, the employees do have an attitude, with the exception of two: a brunette with short hair and a younger guy. The rest act like you aren’t even in the store. I have spent hundreds of dollars at a time, and it doesn’t matter. Get more employees like the two mentioned! If a customer is willing to spend, get helping staff!

I love shopping at loft but this place might have the WORST customer service ever… second only maybe to the loft at Algonquin commons. I could give detailed accounts of my poor shopping experiences here(that still result in me spending 200 – 300 dollars each time) but I won’t. I just shop at express more often now and try to avoid loft. Like c’mon seriously? Employees only work there for the discount and have no interest in helping customers. Get better employees without the attitude.

So hear me out… I work from home… it’s pretty much the greatest thing ever, but my social and hygienic skills have definitely taken a hit because of it. Sometimes I can go a few days without leaving my house and sometimes it feels like I’ve been cooped up so long that I have to use pinterest as a reference for the kind of clothing normal people are wearing so I can get back into the groove of wearing pants and something other than a sports bra. On this particular day, I went pretty straight and simple, no frills, no make-up, but I did brush my hair only to put it right back up into one of those buns that looks pretty similar to a floppy ball sack… my signature every-day doo. I was in the area to pay a ticket I’d gotten from Arlington Heights and decided to take advantage of the fact that I’d already had non-elastic band pants on by working from a nearby café so I could remember what it’s like to have people around and not just sit alone and talk to myself, a few cats and a bamboo plant all day long. Anyway, I popped in to Ann Taylor Loft after calling in some take-out Thai food across the street for lunch/dinner, with the hopes of finding a dress to wear to an upcoming casual wedding I was attending. I walked in and the of the 3 – 4 sales people working that day who looked directly at me(as if I was interrupting) and then directly through me, no one said a damn thing. Just stared at me blankly with no welcome, no smile, no nothing… it was so quiet, I could practically hear their eyelids smacking. It seemed like they were going out of their way to avoid me or any kind of direct eye contact, and instead snickered amongst themselves as I walked around. I mean, I didn’t even look half as homeless as I normally do, so it really kind of pissed me off that I’d gone through all the trouble to wear something with a waistband AND brush my hair only to be treated like a stumble-bum. During my short time there, another customer entered who was quite a bit preppier than myself, and I’m just gonna go ahead and say that she probably had access to a lot more payola than I do. Anyway the women greeted her with big smiles and even offered to help should she need anything. WTF? I kind of wanted to pull a pretty woman and whip out a crumbled up wad of dollars bills and yammer something about them working on commission, but decided to hold off on that since I’m about 98% sure Ann Taylor employees don’t work on any sort of commission and also because I needed all my crumpled up dollars to pay for that Thai food I was waiting on. I needed a plan B. I was only there for a few minutes, and I did see a few items that I thought might work for the purpose, but the women were so obviously going out of their way to make sure I wasn’t welcome that I put the sh*t back down, then left and decided that I’d give ‘em the old Fleetwood Mac treatment and add this my «never going back again» list. I could understand if maybe it were Neiman Marcus, of which I have no business stepping foot in, but this is Ann Taylor loft. It’s like the Arden B of middle-aged, middle-of-the-road people. There’s a chain of command and I’m not trying to be a dick, but these b*tches need to check themselves. I probably wouldn’t even have written them a review, or at least just wrote them a 3-star review if they’d at least done the courtesy of being universally bitchy, but that I was singled out and given the leper colony treatment while another was welcomed with open arms, well… Ann Taylor AH, you’re pretty much dead to me.

I have frequently shopped here. Every single time I have walked in no one bothered to say hello or even ask if I needed help. When I checked out– I get the usual did you find everything ok… I always bite my lip and think I probably would have purchased more if someone would have bothered to acknowledge me.

A great little Loft, tucked in the corner of a cute, teeny shopping center in downtown Arlington Heights. Surrounded by a movie theater, Bath & Body Works, a California Pizza Kitchen, among other stores, it’s in a great area to hit a few stores at once. The parking lot is a little small, but there is underground and street parking. The employees have always been friendly, and while the store is small, they have a lot of stock and most of the best items that Loft puts on the floor during the season.
