ManorCare at Arlington Heights

I was here for 24 days last fall and had excellent care. The physical and occupational therapy was absolutely wonderful. Good food, caring staff, clean facilities. Given the circumstances, it was a very positive experience. Manor Care is right across the street from Northwest Community Hospital, so very convenient for treatments while I was in care.

We had a wonderful experience at this facility. My mom was placed here after having a harrowing experience at another rehab place. The staff here was kind, professional and experienced in handling my mom’s complicated medical condition. Everything from admittance to discharge was handled very smoothly — with great communication and care. The staff was very attentive and caring; when my mom pushed the button for assistance, she received it immediately. My mom was in the more «acute» side of the rehab and the care she received was exceptional. The nursing staff did a good job of communicating between shifts and the CNAs were great. They were personable and cared for my mom with a lot of respect and dignity. No one wants to be in rehab and no one wants to have their health decline — but if you find yourself needing this type of care, I would highly recommend Manor Care/​Arlington Heights.

I found the staff to be pleasant and caring. it is not the type of a place most want to be at but if you need the help they are an excellent choice.

Mostly well intentioned staff (with a few who can’t be bothered to get off their derrière or off their smartphones). Staff overwhelmed due to insufficient staffing especially CNAs. Not suitable for frail seniors with complex issues unless you are able to spend lots of time there supervising. A picture tells a thousand words — this happened at Manor Care when no one answered the call bell requesting assistance.
