Mitchell’s Authentic Grecian Food

Mitchell’s is literally my favorite restaurant right now. After many havent been able to stay open here in the past couple years, I had doubts at first, but when I went in it was spectacular. $ 1 hot dogs are perfectly cooked and full beef! It’s a true Chicago hotdog when your order with everything on it. Their Greek twist that they optionally add to their fries is superb. It’s got lemon juice, herbs, and feta cheese! Yum!
Their avgolemono soup was delicious and their ribs were cooked PERFECTLY!

Excellent little greek place. I had a coupon and took my Mom for a late lunch, it was a great experience, the Greek chicken was fantastic, really crispy on the outside and really tender on the inside, the greek seasonings they use are top notch, it really makes everything taste really good. The chicken dinner is a great deal, including soup or salad, fries, pita, and even a drink! I would recommend getting the «Greek» fries, they put feta cheese with oil and seasoning and its really unique and delicious. The 2−4pm deals are excellent, you get a really good Chicago Vienna hot dog for just $ 1, you cannot beat that! And they also have $ 4 Gyro sandwiches. I was really impressed with the food and the prices and I think everyone should try this place out and see for yourself how good it is.

Grilled pork tenderloin was dry and tough. Otherwise its just an average dog and burger place. Save your $$ and go to the Barbeque Patio on Hicks and Illinois.

Went to pick up lunch today and when I walked in the door, everything was clean and brand new — the atmosphere is typical of a quick casual restaurant but still very bright and welcoming.
Service was quick and everyone behind the counter gave me smiles and even thanked me for coming in.
The gyros were great — tasty cucumber sauce and good portions of meat too. French fries were crunchy and hot and I tried the lemon egg soup which was adequately creamy and full of rice.
Overall, I am very happy to have this great restaurant near my house, I will definitely call in an order on the way home from work soon so I can try the ribs and grecian chicken October special and by the way, a fully loaded hot dog is only $ 1 from 2−4pm!
