P J’s Trick Shop

I went there today for shirt printing for my daughters sports top and the gentleman couldn’t have been any nicer!
Fantastic friendly customer service with magic thrown in! Can definitely recommend and will revisit!

I feel that it is important to inform people that although time was served, the owner of this establishment was convicted for molesting children under the age of 10 — IN THE STORE. Was in 1989. Simply look up «shop owner gets 5 years for abuse» and read the Tribune article. Know this before you allow your children in this store.

Best store around! Several people behind the counter were demonstrating magic tricks for customers. I must have spent an hour there mesmerized by the tricks. Good selection of silly prank items as well along with some party supplies and other random nick-​knacks. Prices are very fair, and there is a good variety of magic tricks for only a few dollars (so don’t be afraid to bring the kiddos!)

My wife and I had a lot of fun checking this place out. We were curious what the deal was as we’d never been inside a magic shop. At first it just seemed like a run-​of-​the-​mill gift shop with magic paraphernalia for sale. But looks can be deceiving because the staff there was very friendly and funny and gave us lots of magic demonstrations. Well they were really giving the demos to the young boy and his father that were there but they welcomed us gawkers.

Really cool little shop. They had a free magic show just happening behind the counter! The employees are really nice and very talented!
My husband even said that he wanted to take up magic after visiting the shop out of curiosity.

PJ’s Trick Shop is an awesome place to go no matter how old you are. I went in there for some magic trick DVD’s & they had a few different people there who knew all kinds of different tricks & performed them while you were in the shop.
PJ’s trick shop has a variety of books on how to learn magic tricks & they have individual tricks that you can buy. They have been around since the 1970’s. They even make some of the tricks that they sell themselves. They have a large variety of DVD’s on how to learn magic tricks & the staff is very knowledgable on all of the items that they carry in stock. They recently moved from their previous location in Arlington Heights & are now just a few blocks down the street in a shopping center. The location was very easy to find & when I called to ask for directions they were very helpful in assisting me on how to get there.
When I arrived at the shop they helped me find what I was looking for right away. After I found what I was looking for I just wanted to stay there & watch the magic tricks. I was sceptical on what DVD to buy. I ended up buying a book, a very big book. I went home & decided I was better off with a DVD. I went back to PJ’S Trick Shop & asked them if I could exchange the book for the DVD I wanted. They exchanged the book for the DVD & just charged me the difference. After that they continued to show me a few more magic tricks.
This palce brought back a lot of good & fun memories. I would recommend this palce to any one who wants some good magic tricks or DVD’s. The staff here is not only very nice but they are also very helpful. I would go here again.
