It was a Friday night and I was hosting a wine tasting that next day for a friends big birthday bash. After exhausting Pinterest and browsing the internet for some guidelines on ways to host a successful wine tasting, I knew just the place to go to pick up some good wines at a reasonable price. Scott greeted me as soon as I walked in and asked if I needed help. Perhaps it was the overwhelmed look on my face which prompted the question. Either way, he saved the day. I was in and out with a variety of wines all either below or within my price range. He was fabulous and did not try to oversell any wines. The party was a huge success and I have Teddy’s and Scott to thank for that!

As a card member of Teddy’s, I received a $ 5 off b’day coupon from Teddy’s. Unfortunately, I printed the coupon, and then lost it in my file. They resent it but it looked like spam, so I inadvertently deleted it. I then found the original missing $ 5 coupon printout and took it to the store. The store manager at the time 8÷5÷13 said«NO» you cannot redeem your birthday coupon. It has expired. Since I only had the first sheet of the printout, I didn’t see the small print regarding expiration. I told him I had lost it, then found it, but he was adamant and unremitting. I know about rules. That’s what life’s all about. But, gee, my birthday $ 5 could not be honored anyway. He didn’t have to. Rules are always the safest retreat. But, being a club member for years, it would have been a nice gesture to give in to a customer service request. I will no longer use Teddy’s coupons since I will be going to Binny’s Liquors which treats their customers with a whole lot more respect. I am very disappointed in Teddy’s, and it’s lack of consideration for a small request. They shouldn’t lose good customers over small incidents like this. Their prices are also higher than Binney’s, but I will miss the good customer treatment that I enjoyed in the past at Teddy’s. Register people were always so kind.

Ok so Binny’s did not have what I wanted/needed on sale this week so on my way home I decided to stop at Teddy’s(which I was hesitant about if you read my last review) I stopped in here and check the price of the whiskey I wanted. Was even more expensive here, I was not surprised, but I continued looking around at other liquor prices. Most were a lot higher than Binny’s but there were a few hidden gems, which I will not name so that the prices do not jump after staff reads this. I then walked over to the beer section and was astounded, they had some really great sale prices that beat Binny’s best sale prices by a good buck or two. Binny’s has way better selection but if you are going for a well known craft, import or domestic beer check at Teddy’s first and see if they have it on sale. The customer service was wayyyy better this time, the previous rude manager was not on site, thank goodness!
