This is not a great complex, which I should have known from the outside appearance. From what I’ve gathered, the place is at least 50 – 60 years old and it looks it. The building is steam heated, so tenants can’t really control their unit heat that well. Oddly enough, it seems that the people who live here, have lived here for many many years. The parking is sufficient. Knock on wood, I’ve never had to park on the side street. The complex has two washer/dryer combos on every floor(there are four floors). The complex does have a pool, which is a nice addition. The best aspect of the complex is the location. It is right across the street from Mitsuwa, a fantastic Japanese grocer. It is also right off I-90, which is convenient.

The Sanctuary is a condominium complex made up of two buildings. It started as a single complex but later became two when the owner purchased the neighboring property. These buildings are extremely old and used to be residence halls for Robert Morris University which is located across the street. After we were told that we understood why the building looked and felt the way it did. The type of doors the building has as well as the stairwells all say residence hall. The people that live here are very friendly. There are all types of people, young and old, single and married, kids, pets and more. This property has a community pool that is nice and a shared grilling area. People host picnics and throw parties in the open space between these two buildings. There is a private parking lot for residents only and it seems to be quite safe. The building I live in has a garbage shoot on each floor but there is not a recycling option.
