Today is my last day at 2200 Columbia Pike after living here for over a year. I love this place as it’s strategically the best location to live in DC area. DC and Arlington downtown are just a 5 minutes drive by car. There is an amazing DC view from rooftop. You can see — Pentagon, Lincoln memorial easily and Capitol building(if you try a little harder). It’s an ideal place to sit down and relax on a breezy summer morning! The management is quick to respond to problems. They use the intra-building social network portal to connect and communicate. So you can just leave a note on the portal for any repair/maintenance work and they will respond quickly. The grocery store — Giant is at a walkable distance which makes the location even more ideal. I’m taking off one star because of following reasons — 1. The construction is old and there is no renovation work being done(although they are very regular in doing the maintenance work). 2. The hallway carpets are old and some of them have stains. 3. This place is not metro accessible. However there are ART and Metro bus stops right outside the building. And DCA is just 5 – 7 minutes drive by car. If these things don’t bother you, then 2200 Columbia Pike is definitely the place to go!
