7-Eleven

This 7 – 11, to put it simply, is a pigsty. 7 – 11’s are often lacking in cleanliness, due mostly to the self-​serve soda and Slurpee machines that customers seem to have a tough time using without spilling, but the better 7 – 11’s do a good job of regular cleanups. Each time I have been at this location, it has been obvious that no cleanup has occurred in quite some time.
At a visit yesterday, I noticed the floor was sticky immediately when walking into the store. After trudging along the sticky floor to the back of the store where the Slurpee machine was located, I found that some kind of drink disaster had taken place, leaving all of the empty cups covered in soda. I dug deep to find a clean cup, and then poured a sugar-​free cherry limeade slurpee. I expected the slurpee to be either red (cherry), green (lime), or somewhere in between. Instead, it came out a dark brown, and completely unfrozen. I brought it to the front and told the cashier that the machine wasn’t working correctly. He gave me a confused look, and then began to ring up my other items without saying anything else.
7 – 11’s in the DC area are rarely nice, but this one is particularly poorly managed and cared for. With several other 7 – 11’s in the immediate vicinity, skip this location.
