This is a great little neighborhood market deli. I’ve lived down the street for a few years now and they have great sandwiches and lunch specials. I love their steak and cheese and meatball subs. The lunch specials have so much food they feed me for 3 meals. They also do small Indian food items like samosas. This is a takeout kind of place — not much for seating. Add in the convenience store items, this is a regular spot for me.

This place is sexist and disgusting. They consistently get orders wrong, and if my husband makes the call to ask them to fix it– no problem. Of I’m home alone with my toddler they say,“we’ll ma’am, that is not our problem. The driver has just left.” Yes. From two blocks away — which is fine for a reg customer, but not for someone who has a toddler with Down syndrome. I can’t just get a neighbor to watch my son. And my what is WRONG with the world today? Is this the kind of business people we want in Arlington. A lot of restaurants make an ok BLT. They are pigs. I don’t care how good you think their food is. They have no souls.

This place is incredible. Great subs, quality bread. I recommend the large BLT. Or any of the hot chicken subs as well. Tuna is topshelf as well. Reasonably priced too, 6 or 7 squids for a large, or 5 for most mediums. They also have very good samosas, but not every day. The guys who run it are Indian, and they make the samosas as a cold deli item. They’re really good if you take ‘em home and heat them in the oven. There are lots of Indian spices and heat-and-eat packets too. They carry one of my all-time favorite hot sauces, Maggi. Ridiculously good hot/sweet sauce from India. I had never heard of it until I happened upon it at A&A. Scratch tickets, gatorade, newspapers, subs, snacks, tobacco, magazines, pretty much anything you’d want here except beer. Sometimes they even have KETCHUPCHIPS! If you haven’t tried them, well, you should. Good spot, quality grub, very friendly staff. Paradise.

This place has any sub you could want… and they use boars head meats which is always good… the window says they have tacos and burritos but there weren’t any on the menu? not sure if this store used to be a restaurant? This place is really a convenience store with a small deli counter so there are no comfy couches, foofy cappuccinos, or freshly baked cookies… just subs I got an Italian and the bf got thanksgiving… I don’t remember what they call it. Anyway, they were both good but the Italian was seriously lacking some meat. Usually Italian subs are stuffed. this one had one slice of 3 kinds of meat… but other than that. It was delicious. The thanksgiving sub was good but not great. The stuffing was extremely cold… almost like it was in a freezer… and it was pretty bland. basic cornbread mush. It would have been nice if it were toasted perhaps. Overall decent sub place…

The original owners were commited to the store and it showed. Now it appears the new owners have no culinary skills and the food itself is much lower quality. I went in there once after the sale and never went back. Good for the newspaper or lottery but that’s it.

The gentleman that run this business are so very polite & kind! They have made a lot of changes in the past few months and the quality of their food is pretty good. I like that they have a lot of good homemade stuff, that is fresh daily. The prices of the grocery items very fair, especially for the conveinence of having them next store to us! :) They now have Boar’s Head meats and the prices are really fair — way cheaper than Stop & Shop down the street. I highly recommend giving the A & A a try.

This place used to be great 5 to 10 years ago, now it’s either under new management or new ownership. The quality of the food has gone downhill since then, although they still have a large selection of foods. I like the Paul Bunyon sandwich, and get it almost every time I order from there. Delivery there is unpredictable, sometimes they’ll do it other times no, I guess they only have one delivery guy and his attendance isn’t that great. If you actually go in be warned that they burn incense, the smell is quite overpowering.

This place is decent. The sandwiches are hit or miss, the good thing is that they are consistent it’s just that some of the recipes aren’t that great. The Italian is pretty decent though. Get a medium if you go, they use different bread for each sandwich size and that’s the best bread. They have a lot of hot chicken sandwiches some ok some kinda meh, can’t recall exactly what’s good right now but I stick to the cold sandwiches in general.

A & A is your standard neighborhood market. Ripening bananas on the counter, ice, lottery tix and cigs available to all. They have a great deli counter with a fair selection of prepared foods and a small food service operation, offering burgers, breakfast sandwiches and solid deep fried fare. They’re a 3 star market because the prices are often a bit steep, as they are wont to be at a convenience store, and if you’re charging, you have to have $ 7 in merchandise. The charge minimum is most irksome. Having worked in retail, I know that BOTH Visa and Mastercard prohibit the issuance of charge minimums and will revoke a contract agreement with a store for non compliance… now, if I could only figure out how to report them.
