Arby’s

I do not usually frequent fast food establishments. This is the only exception and always as a take-​out. I love the taste of their roast beef and the prices are quite low. For instance, their Swiss Dip sandwich is priced around 2 – 3 dollars lower than the equivalent at nearby La Madeleine. Granted, Arby’s bread cannot compete with the fresh French Baguette used at La Madeleine, but it still is quite edible. I will not rate their sides as I never indulge in store bought overly salty fries plus I don’t drink soda pop or other sweet drinks.
My only gripe with this location is that every time you go to the drive-​through they push their new offering, sides and drinks and even if at first you tell them that all you want is a sandwich you have to repeat sometimes two and three times and they still keep on pestering you and pushing additional items. I hate to be rude, but sometimes I have to raise my voice in order to stop them from wasting my time. Also, there’s nothing more I hate than high pressure salesmanship and here it’s the worst I have seen. Once I got so infuriated I told them to cancel my order and I just drove out of there! This is the reason I have deducted ONE STAR from my rating!

This is one of the few locations where you don’t have to beg to get a couple extra of the sauces.
The roast beef has always been cooked properly, and their sides are always piping hot. The jalapeño poppers have a good kick to them, and their sandwiches are not so salty as to force you to down your drink before you get home.
The drive-​through is extremely fast and efficient no matter the time of day that I’ve used it. The value for your dollar is very good especially if you use their coupons, and this is where they earned the extra star. I had inadvertently utilized a coupon that had expired. The staff member was clearly empowered to make the decision to honor the coupon anyway and simply said that it had expired but not a problem. This to me indicates a very well-​run location. What a pleasant surprise to have managers empower their people and not make the customer feel silly, even when it’s their own fault.

I love their roast beef sandwich and curly fries.

Let’s be honest here… I love food, so I am critical and this Arby’s location passes my standards every time. You have to wait a bit for your food, but it is fresh, no heartburn or aftertaste. They are not the most chipper in customer service but that is fine with me especially coming through the drive-​thru.
