Would I try this place again? Absolutely, the lamb and beef kabob were insanely tasty — and my side of curry potatoes and rice was yummy. Unfortunately I became pretty sick after eating the hummus(ate it separately), I’ve been a bit under the weather lately so I’m not sure if that had something to do with it or what… The taste of it was a bit different in comparison to hummus I’ve had at other establishments, I just won’t try it again. All in all this is a solid delivery place. Remind them to provide you with utensils if needed, they forgot mine.

Are lamb kabobs supposed to be thoroughly cooked through? If the place were crowded I could understand it. But If you are not busy, pay attention to the meat! I suppose the next time I visit I will ask them to leave some pink in the meat. Side dishes were good. Two rices and a lentil side which was wonderful with the delicious bread. I could not finish it all so I had it wrapped to take home for breakfast. This place is on the other side of Arlington from where I live. Won’t be going out of my way to go there(it’s not that good), but next time I am over that way I’ll try again.

Definitely best take-out in Arlington. The naan is fantastic and so is the chicken. We eat here a few times a week and it’s always our go-to. Definitely get extra sauces, it’s worth it!

Tucked back in the far reaches of Arlington(at least for me) lies a nondescript block of restaurants, one of which is the oasis in this seemingly far off land called Arlington Kabob. I don’t really visit this side of Arlington much, but I was jonesin’ for kabob and pulled out my trusty Unilocal app to find the«best kabob» near Arlington and Arlington Kabob was top of the list. It took me 20 minutes to get here and I also had to pull a U-turn to be on the proper side of the street, so for all of my troubles, I was sincerely hoping this would hit my craving out of the park. And guess what? I was not disappointed in the least! I placed an order online through their website and it estimated my pick up time would be 7:25pm. When I arrived at 7:15pm, my order was waiting for me. For less than $ 15, I received lamb kabob, onion/pepper mix, spinach, basmati rice, and a piece of naan that was literally larger than my head. The lamb was very tender and seasoned perfectly with that hint of Middle Eastern spice. The spinach, while plentiful, needed some TJ21 Seasoning Salute, but after that it was quite tasty. FYI: Other side options were chickpeas or side salad. The onion/pepper mix was a nice accompaniment to the meat, as it was also seasoned with that hint of spice. The rice was pretty good, although truthfully, I’m not partial to rice in general. It wasn’t plain but was seasoned so that’s a plus. The naan was clearly fresh baked and was very yummy when combined with the two separate dips: a green cilantro dip and one more resembling tzatziki sauce. My food did need reheated a little but it did take me 20 minutes to get home so I wasn’t expecting it to still be pipping hot. I will note though, it was pipping hot when I received my order at the restaurant. I would absolutely return to try other kabobs(the tilapia and salmon sound interesting) and since I have to satisfy my shwarma craving at some point, I’ll return for that in the near future too!

Friendly staff but the food wasn’t that good. I had the chicken kabob wrap. My chicken was undercooked so they fixed it for me, no big deal. I didn’t particularly care for the way they seasoned the chicken. The sauces were decent. I didn’t think the food was anything special. Given the plethora of middle eastern options in NoVA, I wouldn’t go back.

OMG, The food here is delicious. If you have not experienced Arlington Kabob, then you are sorely missing out. Everything from the service to the atmosphere is great… did I also mention the food. I ordered the Chicken Kobidah and it was so good that I was looking at other patrons orders to see what they ordered. This is my new go to place for Afghan cuisine.

Went in for lunch and ordered 1 gyro and 1 special, which consisted of chicken biryani, stewed vegetables, and a side order of beef kobideh. The gyro was a well-made gyro, but basically the average fare. The bread was above average though, and it came with a side of cilantro sauce and a bag of utz chips. My special was awesome! The biryani was very delicately spiced, and I absolutely hate cooked carrots, but loved the way they were prepared in the stew that was on the side. I was not a fan of the beef kobideh, and found it rather tasteless. The service was great, and the store, while tiny, had a good ambience. 4⁄5.

Awesome lunch! Definitely going back. We had the chicken sharwma and gyro last time. This place makes fresh bread and the portion is really generous.

I had high expectations given the high star rating on Unilocal but was disappointed by the price to meat ratio. Maybe it’s because I went for dinner, where the price of an entrée ranged from $ 10 to $ 13. I ordered the tilapia, which came with one filet of fish, a pile of rice, a side of vegetables(they were out of cauliflower so I had lentils), and a freshly baked piece of naan. The naan was easily the best part of the meal, warm and soft on the inside with a bit of a crunch on the exterior. However, overall, too much rice, not enough meat or veggies. Probably worth it for the $ 6.99 lunch price but not for the dinner price.

Pros: Excellent customer service. Like I really mean that. The guy working there was so chill and friendly. He was friendly and chatty while I waited for my food and even threw in a complimentary naan bread! It’s a quiet restaurant with a clean sit-down option. They offer my favorite MASH drinks which makes me add a star. The quantity/quality is great for reasonable rates. Chicken kabob is really good/juicy/tender/not greasy and comes with yummy peppers and onions(not as flavorful as the Indian version but still good). That’s where the green cilantro yogurt chutney comes in to save the day. The two together with a side of fresh naan are a great and filling combo. Comparable to Kabob Palace but even better for all of the aforementioned reasons plus no drunk crowds or random noise pollution or rudeness or dirtiness etc. You get the idea. Don’t forget to check them out!

I just ordered their lunch special for $ 6.99 and it was delicious. They gave me four nice chunks of chicken(5 or 6 would have been nice), a very hot and fresh piece of bread, chick peas that had a bit of seasoning to them, spinach and cut salad(tomato, onions, olives, ice berg lettuce). It was a very nice dish and I worth the money. Susan who owns the store spoke about her commitment to healthy food options without chemicals or processing. She is sweet and very lovely. I highly recommend this for catering or just a drop in. They use recycled containers for food, very cool touch. Thank you Susan.

This was our first time there. Went based solely on reviews. So happy that we decided to go, the food was fantastic. The lady who waited on us, who I presume is the owner, was so friendly. She let us know what the more popular dishes were(lamb and chicken). We went with her suggestions and we’re glad we did. The bread was not made until we ordered so it was very hot when it came out. If we are in the area we will definitely be back!!!

Food is excellent. I live in Courthouse and pass other Kebab places on my way here, but Arlington Kebab is just so much better. There gyros are fantastic with some of the highest grade gyro meat i have ever tasted and the fresh baked naan wrap is filled with whole cubes of real feta. I am also a big fan of their schwarma and lamb kebabs. I always get carry out so I can’t speak to the speed or accuracy of their delivery service.

Have been eating lunch there often and always loved it, but this weekend we decided to cater a dinner party for 8 with food from Arlington Kabob. Ordered a day ahead, two«meals for four” – kabobs(ground chicken, ground beef, lamb); quabili rice; eggplant, chickpeas and spinach for sides; naan and salad. The food arrived precisely on time. Everything that was supposed to be warm was still warm(even hot). Delivery guy helped unpack things and set up. We dine out with these guests often, and they know food. Approval of the food from AK was unanimous and enthusiastic. I will definitely do this again. One thing I would change is to order more lamb, as that went fast from the buffet we had set up. Also, although my wife made a great coconut pie for dessert, I might want to order some of Susan’s excellent baklava to save ourselves some labor. it was a terrific evening, and we fed 8 people for about $ 100. Even had some leftovers(microwaved kabob and rice makes a great breakfast).

I had the chicken shawarma. OMG! fresh not oily at ALLL not over season and the bread was fresh baked. My husband order the kebab platter and it was amazing we all had to take some of his rice there cucumber yogurt sauce is just to die for. My mom and my son at the steak and cheeses which were also amazing on they are fresh baked breads. As a matter of fact my mom took some bread to go LOL! This is my new favorite place we will be definitely going back even though we’re coming from Maryland it’s worth the drive. Very deceitful from the outside, it’s a little treasure/whole in the wall

Tried this for the first time and got delivery. Oh my goodness everything was so, so good. The ground chicken and beef were lean but very deep and flavorful. Their chicken is also well seasoned. Beef was well-done but still quite delicious. The rice here is tasty but less buttery and may seem lacking to some but it is JUST the way I Iike it: I don’t get sick of it and ended eating way too much. The delivery guy came in half an hour and their naan bread was still pillowy soft and tastes delicious. I definitely recommend this place, and hope to eat at their restaurant soon.

Excellent Kabob restaurant! Located in a very unassuming strip mall, this Afghan restaurant blew me away not only with their exceptional food, but also their warm and welcoming customer service. I got the lamb tikka($ 12) and chickpeas. Like others have mentioned, I typically do not like chickpeas, but this place has converted me. The lamb was perfectly tender and just over medium rare. Their homemade bread is baked fresh to order and comes with every dish. Overall, a fantastic gem in the northern Arlington area. I will definitely return here soon!

So good! I ordered chicken schwarma and was not disappointed! It doesn’t look like much when you walk in, very small– about 6 booths– but it smells fantastic. Friendly service and generous portion size of rice and naan. I’ll probably replace the side salad with an extra order of the chickpeas next time some they were probably my favorite part of the meal, cooked in a very flavorful tomato sauce. The chicken and rice were very flavorful as well. I piled everything onto the naan with a mix of the sauces and sides, definitely recommend doing that. I’ll be going back again!

The cutest little mom and pop shop with authentic, delicious food! I was expecting a hole in the wall but inside is spacious with updated modern décor. There’s a clean bathroom inside which is key. They serve artisan drinks(think cane sugar and glass bottles) and have a good-sized menu of kabobs, sandwiches, wraps, schwarmas, and sides. I tried the double kebab combo of chicken and kufta. The chicken wasn’t dry like some places and the kufta was well seasoned. The food tasted homemade and I really enjoyed it. I’d note that the rice isn’t the buttery goodness I’m used to from LA places but my thighs are quite grateful for the healthier, more homemade substitute. The naan is amazing — soft and chewy and just hands down yummy. The tzatiki… OMGoodness it’s the bomb. If you love cilantro like I do. Well just get it. You’re welcome. Overall a great stop that I wish I lived closer to! Oh and the mom and son(I’m guessing) are super sweet which adds to the homey feel.
