I witnessed these owners leaving their dogs in their dog kennel truck in the blazing sun and left it there for an hour or so while their truck was in line to be serviced. It was hot and the dogs were crammed in the truck. when it was discovered that there were dogs were in the back, the truck was pulled into a covered area in the service drive. the dogs were given water by the dealership but the dog in the front kennel wouldn’t drink it. it was a puppy and it seemed so timid and scared. it was heartbreaking. the other dogs couldn’t be let out to give water to. I don’t know when the owners came back to get them, but these people need to be reported and brought up on charges. they don’t care about their dogs only the money.

To start, I have no idea if these people can train retrievers or not(I grew up with retrievers and have some knowledge on how to train them). That’s not why I’m posting a 1-star review for them. I’m posting a 1-star review of Autumn Retrievers because of my single experience that involved them. Here it is. I saw their truck and trailers pulled over next to a pet walk area at the Ship Ashore RV Resort in Smith River, California. They were, in my opinion, somewhat disdainful of the retrievers as they let them out in groups of five or six to, ostensibly, relieve themselves. The animals in the pens contained within the trailers seemed miserable, and cried out when they saw me. I noted the company name, being a lifelong pet lover and owner, and went about my business, skirting around the dogs on my way to completing the first leg of my daily walk. I noted that they were still there on the second, returning leg of that same walk, and that they had released more retrievers into the pet walk area. The pet walk area is clearly marked for pet owners to clean up after their animals. You can’t miss the sign; it’s big and colorful. Today, on my walk, I march right into the pet walk area, and within seconds my tennis shoes are covered in dog crap. That’s right: these jerks had released the retrievers and hadn’t bothered cleaning up after them! It wasn’t even a public«facility»; the pet walk area is owned by a private company! I did as best as I could negotiating myself around the crap; when I got to the other side I turned around and looked. The entire area, probably a fifty thousand feet square, was literally covered in crap. Autumn Retrievers had let their dogs foul an entire pet walk area that wasn’t theirs to begin with, and had simply … driven off. Now. If these people have such disdain for others’ private property, what do you think they’re going to do with your beloved retriever? Something to think about before you call them up.
