Battery Center

We have used this Battery Center Inc. for probably 20+ years for batteries and other minor electrical work on our various cars. They are the best — you don’t have to worry about getting «ripped off». They are very honest and will only charge what is absolutly necessary (and usually less than what others would have charged), which is rare these days!

Inexpensive car batteries? Yes, Please. These guys have more than just car batteries though: smaller stuff for wheelchairs and such and bigger stuff for who knows what. All I know is I got a used battery for under $ 50. It would have been under $ 40 if I traded in my old one, but I’m still going to see if Oreilly’s will honor the warranty.
Actually, listen to this: I told the lady at Battery Center that I had a battery I was trying to get replaced under warranty from Oreilly’s and if I managed to get them to honor it I would then have two batteries for the same car– the one I just bought her and a brand new one that was replaced by Oreilly’s. I asked if I could sell the one I just bought from her back in the near future if I got lucky with Oreilly’s. She said I could just return it– no problem. I thought that was super nice. So basically I would have rented a battery from them for free. Anyhow– very impressed.
Usually when I hear of refurbished/​used batteries I imagine in my mind some dank place with shady people selling batteries on the grey market… something like that. Well, this place is far from that. Its a ma and pa place that has been there for my guess at least 40 years (don’t quote me on that). Very friendly and works with their customers.
In general I despise going to any car related service/​store, so when I find a place that I am pleased with and feel comfortable with I am quick to laud it with praise. Such is the case with Battery Center.
note: they do sell new batteries as well– if I were to guess– much cheaper than the $ 100 tag I was seeing at Autozone/Oreilly’s. I think these guys offer AC service as well.
