Pretty decent little lounge. Service was good and so were the drinks. Music was great and I really enjoyed this place. Definitely for grown folks. Bathrooms could use a little attention. The fried pickles were pretty good but not the best. Will try something different next time.

I came here for a friend’s birthday party. She chose this spot because they have a FREE, you read correctly, FREE buffet during happy hour from 6 – 8 p.m. on Fridays. I was all about it. Even though it was complimentary, I still expected them to have somewhat of a nice spread. I got there between 645 and 7 p.m., and the buffet was already depleted and they really didn’t replenish anything for the rest of the night. They did have several catering dishes of food, so plenty of options, but I was only to eat a piece of fried fish and fried chicken. Around 8:30 p.m., a LIVE band hits the stage. I’m usually not a friend of live music, but this band was nice. They played a wide variety of music from old school to current tracks. I really enjoyed the music which is saying a lot since I’m generally not a fan of LIVE music. The only thing I would say is that the crowd at Brickhouse Lounge seems to be a bit more mature, and by a bit more, I mean 40s and 50s. I know this but the band’s lead singer did a roll call by calling out the decade people were born. Not many people responded when he said 80s. Arlington is really far from my house in North Dallas, so I wouldn’t just run to this spot unless someone were having yet another birthday party! :-)

Well it’s 2016. And brickhouse has made some changes for ladies. I actually listen to authentic soul. Very nice band for the ones who just want to sit and relax. But u know it’s ladies night and I came to get my groove on. Crowd was descent. And u definitely want to get here early for a seat or reserve one. Ladies are actual free before 9 a plus. Otherwise it’s $ 10. They do have valet. And on a cool night that’s great. Drinks are reasonable.

This place is nice and the food is good but my only problem is the parking. Every available spot is designated for valet. I mean EVERY. It’s irritating to have to walk a mile to get to the place because they want $ 10 for valet. There are 2 other clubs in the parking space and a cone is placed in every parking slot. It’s ridiculous and for that I will not be frequenting an establishment that doesn’t care about their guests.

Valet selectively accepts cars. Nowhere to park. Too crowded. Not very conducive for comfortable conversation. 45 minute standing wait at the bar. 1 ½ hr wait for finger food. Several security personnel all over the place shinning flashlights in your face to clear the isles. What’s so Grown-n-Sexy about being herded through an gauntlet of people. The 1 star is for the DJ in the dining area spinning the Old School New Orleans Rap.

My husband’s birthday was December 28th so I planned a big surprise celebration for him on the 27th. I started trying to plan this right after Thanksgiving. I called and reserved a limo, I reserved a table at his favorite restaurant for 40 of our closest friends and I tried to reach Brick House lounge to reserve a booth for us to party after dinner. I was able to lock down EVERYTHING except for Brick house lounge because they NEVER responded to my numerous calls(with messages left) or emails. I was adamantly trying to reach them because I had several decent reviews on them and wanted to check them out. Now, the WEEKOF his party they FINALLY respond with a text(no apologies for getting back to me so late) and I have to plead and beg then to extend the check in time considering they never got back to me I made plans around them STILL with the intent of going, it would just be around 11:00 because dinner plans weren’t until 8 and with such a large party I knew it would be a while for us to eat. They said ok, sent me the pay pal link to pay for my$ 150 booth that was SUPPOSE to come with cake(it DIDN’T) and I paid. After paying it said my date was confirmed for the 31st… wait, the 31st??? NO, it’s suppose to be for the 27th!!! I sent them back a text letting them know their mistake and they said«No problem, I just entered it wrong, we’ll have u set up for the correct day» I said ok and went on. Night of the party everything starts off without a hitch. My husband is surprised about EVERYTHING! After dinner a few friends went ahead to Brick house lounge to make sure we checked in by 11 only to text me that I DIDN’T HAVE A RESERVATIONUNDERMYNAME!!! I told them they had to be mistaken and I’d straighten it out when I got there. Guess what??? No reservation for me for the 27th and they were packed, no empty tables or booths!!! We stood there for 45 minutes while they tried to get things figured out(my husband needs total knee replacement and thus was extremely hard on him) They finally got us a booth after a party left and a very disinterested waitress who couldn’t remember our drink orders. Again, we had about 20 – 30 people with us… this could have been a great night for Brick house lounge… drunk ppl spend money! I called and left a message and sent a text letting them know how disgusted I was and NEVERHEARDBACKFROMTHEM!!! NOTHING!!! I will never set foot in there again much much much less plan a celebration with them.

Went to this lounge for a birthday celebration and fell in LOVE… This is for the grown and sexy… the music from 8 – 12 is 90’s hip hop after 12 am its a mixture of the all genres. Nice place for couples or just a girl’s night out… Dress code is causal, meaning you can flats no tennis shoes at all… We had a great time and plan on returning for my birthday celebration with some friends

I’ve been here quite a few times. The crowd is primarily 25 and up african americans with old school R n B playing during happy hour. I’ve noticed it’s been almost dead lately on Friday happy hour nights which include a free soul food buffet. The buffet used to feature ALOT more items and the food was finger lickin’ good. This past time I went even the crackers tasted stale. The line for the buffet used to wrap around the whole bar darn near. Now, I can just walk up and get a plate of what tastes like day old food. The DJ came on asking folks to go get more food. That says something. Alot has changed which is why I think alot of folks aren’t coming like they used to. There was a band that played during happy hour. Now the band comes on at 9 if you’re lucky. If you’ve been there for happy hour since 530, you probably don’t want to wait til 9 for the band. There used to be a small section blocked off for valet. Now all the spots except maybe a handful are valet. Used to be ample seating at the bar. Now the management doesn’t want alot of seats at the bar. The bands that are here are the same ones you’ll hear at Zuri Lounge and Buttons. Some good, some not so good. Turns into a hip hop club now after the band plays for an hour or 2. Happy hour specials are just wells and $ 3 cheap margaritas. Twist offf bottle glass of wine is $ 8. I think I’m over it for a bit.

Last night was my first time visiting Brick House. While I am not a frequent clubber, I enjoy the opportunity to get out every now and then in a «lounge» environment. I am impressed with the concept but I was disappointed in the overall attitude shared by the employees. The lady and man at the door were very cold… disconnected(maybe you have to be in that environment). Then the«bouncers» were routinely rude — maybe that is the prerequisite for that position??? It was an interesting night with interesting people(crowd mix included Saints/Cowboys fans) but I don’t intend to drive the distance to be treated rudely… and I am asking for nothing free. The music became increasingly irritating as it included the rap music(not the radio version)…surely that is not the grown and sexy preference but rather the young and rowdy’s appetite. My recommendation to the lounge owner(s): change the staff environment & refocus on the adults and watch your business triple.

FUNFUNFUN!!! Experience: While in town visiting over the weekend, I decided to meet up with a few girlfriends at this spot. From the time I walked in the door to the time I left, the DJ was jamming!!! He played many old school r&b and hip hop hits that I haven’t heard in a long time. The crowd was very mature(i.e. «grown & sexy») and everyone was having a great time. Every time I tried to sit back down, I jumped right back up to dance the night away! We reserved a VIP booth and ordered dinner/drinks while we were there as well. The waitress was extremely nice and professional — despite having to work nearly the entire side of the room we were on(wish I could remember her name… Erika or Ebony, I believe). I had the grilled catfish dinner and the«36−24−36» drink to go along with it, and both were absolutely dee-lish! Logistics: The only thing that wasn’t so great was the parking situation. They literally blocked off the entire parking lot located directly in front of the building so if you couldn’t find a parking spot in one of the nearby shopping center lots(which still were quite far), then you were forced to valet like I did(paid $ 10 to have car parked in the front, but it’s $ 5 if you want to park your own car directly behind their building). Overall, I truly enjoyed myself and will definitely hit this place up again!

I’m not one who frequents going out during the week, but I’m glad I did this time! I went to Brickhouse for a comedy show and I was highly impressed. 5 stars are well-deserved and here’s why: 1. The comedy show was free and there was no cover at all. The show consisted of some really good and funny talent, of which two of the comedians were nationally known and well-respected in their crafts. The other comedians were local, but definitely some of the best local talent I’ve seen in a while. Good job putting together a very entertaining show at no cost to customers! 2. You don’t have to pay to park. That was a nice relief because lately, whenever I go out, there’s a charge to park. 3. The customer service is excellent and the staff is nothing short of amazing. This place sets the tone for what good black enterprise should consist of. Our server was being trained and she did a phenomenal job as did her trainer. No complaints at all about the service. They were timely, consistent and very friendly. 4. The food and drinks are reasonably priced and the food was great! I got the lemon pepper wings and fries. Everything was fresh and made to order. It came out steaming hot and full of flavor. The fries and wings were equally delicious. Overall, I had an excellent time and can’t wait to go back. As a result of the free entry and free parking, and great service, I was motivated to tip very well. The free entry and parking are benefits to the customer as well as to the staff in this regard!

My 4th time at Brickhouse Lounge. My husband and I love the older crowd and old school music. The food is still pretty good but the bartenders customer service is awful and definitely needs improving, for this we no longer spend $ 100 in there. $ 25 is all we will donate for us BOTH. My girlfriend and I went this past Friday night for her birthday, a lady behind the bar was kind enough to take our picture with my cellphone, rudely the same bartender tapped her and told her no that cost 9.95 don’t take their pic because they have a photographer that walks around that charges $ 10 a pic. One picture, really. The liquor they serve on well is beyond the cheapest, the lady behind the bar told me she hated it, wow and you serve it. Anyway, since we like their music and the live bands we would return for that ALONE, we now drink and eat before we come. When hubby and I want to eat and drink we spend our $ 100 at Buttons great service and food. Brickhouse Lounge customer service is awful. There is a lady that sells condiments, gum, meds, etc. for ladies in the bathroom, they need to take customer service lessons from her. She received my tip money, yes the lady that works the bathroom. She is awesome.

I’ve tried to write a review on this place a few times. I will say this – You may see me at this place for a social gathering, but I will never spend any of my money in there again. The last time I was treated like I had a 2nd grade education from management. My situation was not resolved and I feel like I was«taken» because they have started to fall off. They can kiss my you-know-what…

This is definitely a venue that you need to arrive at early, particularly on a Saturday night. On the two occasions that I’ve been here, I found it to be quite impressive. The average age group for the patrons seems to be 30 – 35 and up, which is a good thing. And folks come dressed to impress! The food and beverages are reasonably priced for a venue like this. Nothing ridiculous, in my opinion yet reasonable. The food quality itself is pretty good, with the assortments of chicken wings, nachos and more that is varied with the appetizers and entrees. It is highly recommended to reserve a table in advance if you are bringing a guest or a group of people. Table reservations range from $ 50-$ 100, and are in very close proximity to the stage + dance floor. There are at least three large mounted televisions in addition to a 30×20 screen(of which plays music videos) that are in the main area by the stage to keep you entertained as well. The live bands that perform are usually pretty good, and on occasion, a cover band from the Verizon Theatre will drop by to perform 1 – 2 numbers while the featured band takes a break. It was noted that there is a valet service as well as a coat check in the front. Parking can be a little tight if you arrive later than 10PM, and I’m not sure if the other business in the plaza will tow or not if you park in their area. Overall, this is a pretty cool place to be at on a Saturday night as well as other nights. Check it out!

I came here Friday for a family get together. They have a free buffet from 6 to 8 it was free to get in before 8. The food was very good they had very good catfish. They had a live band that was decent. The drinks are pricey like 10 dollars for a crown and coke they add a 18% gratuity on the drinks. The crowd on Friday is older and the music is old school. Also, I wanted to say they did wrap up the buffet at 7:30 instead of 8.

Excellent band, nice crowd, good drinks and food. This was my first time at Brickhouse and the overall experience was very nice. They had a nice crowd, staff was very friendly and the server did an excellent job. My only complaint is that the two managers were unaware of the Unilocal«free margarita» when you check in. They said they would not honor it, then they came back and said they would and they were going to send them to the table and they never came. 3 hours later as we were ready to leave… here comes the margaritas. I gave 4 stars vs 5 stars because of this. Overall the experience was pleasant.

Old comedy club now a night club… It works. I have been here three times each time I have enjoyed myself. The vibe is relaxed and friendly. I like that they have a band and dj. It caters to different types of people. Plus they switch up on the bands which is good so nothing gets stale. They serve food and my friends say its pretty good. This is a good addition to the arlington nightlife.
